In the middle of the 20th century, there was a civil servant in Germany named Nicholas Luhmann. He was doing a job that he didn’t like. After get off work, he started to look for things that he liked - reading. When he encountered something he had ideas for, he would write it down in the blank space. Comment.
Later, Luhmann realized more and more that this way of taking notes was meaningless, so he changed the way he took notes.
He began to write all the notes on small pieces of paper, numbered the corners of the pieces of paper, and then collected them into a card box.
Since then, he has developed new categories of these notes.
He learned that an idea or a note was only valuable in its context, which was not necessarily where it came from. In this way, Luhmann's method of collecting notes in card boxes created the sum of the value of all his notes, allowing him to enter academia and become a professor of sociology.
Many people are amazed that his success comes from this humble card box note, and everyone only thinks that he is because of his humility.
Because people always believe that a person's success comes from persistent efforts and talent, and not just by simply changing the way of working, thinking and behavior, one can achieve success in one step.
However, taking notes does not mean just remembering what you see and recording it directly without thinking. In this way, when you take it out to recall it next time, you will not know why you wrote this sentence at that time.
This is not conducive to our use when we want to get some appropriate sentences to modify the article or when we want to find inspiration in the next writing process.
After the Luhmann card note writing method was made public, no one did any substantive operations because no one believed it.
