Beijing time on December 4, the Wizards officially announced that Russell Westbrook will wear the No. 4 jersey in the new season.
Westbrook always wore the No. 0 jersey no matter in the Thunder or the Rockets. The Wizards' No. 0 jersey was worn by "General" Gilbert Arenas before, but he did not retired the No. 0 jersey. In other words, Westbrook wants to wear No. 0 jersey, but Westbrook chose No. 4.
Westbrook once said in an interview that his favorite number is 4, and he also wore the number 4 jersey before high school. After Westbrook was selected by the Thunder in 2008, the Thunder's Nick Collison was wearing the No. 4 jersey, so Westbrook chose the No. 0 jersey.
Today's Westbrook wears his favorite No. 4 jersey. We wish Westbrook can play happily in the Wizards and hope Westbrook can lead the team to good results.

regular season, Westbrook averaged 35.9 minutes per game, 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7 assists;
