Beijing time on November 22, Shams Chanaria reported that Carmelo Anthony and the Blazers reached a year-end salary renewal agreement. Chanaria said that Anthony wants to show his loyalty to the Blazers. He understands what he should expect from the Blazers and he will continue to play an important role.
Last season, Anthony started 58 games for the Trail Blazers. He averaged 15.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, shooting 43% from the field, 38.5% from the three-pointer, and 84.5% from the free throw.
The Blazers in this offseason are very active. They have renewed their contract with Rodney Hood, in addition to the introduction of Derek Jones Jr, Robert Covington and Enes Kanter. The Blazers struggled to make the playoffs last season, but the injury did hit them. And, after Yusuf Nurkic and Zach Collins returned, they looked like a very different team in the rematch. Next season, they will make a comeback.
