Beijing time on November 21, ESPN famous Adrian Wonaroski reported that free agent Josh Jackson signed a contract with the Pistons. "Detroit News" reporter Rod Beard said that this is a two-year contract.
Earlier, the Pistons also signed contracts with big men Mason Plumley and Jalil Okafor.
The Suns selected Jackson with the No. 4 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. His NBA career was not smooth. In the first two seasons, he made a lot of things off the court. The Suns traded him to the Grizzlies in the offseason last year. In order to prove his worth again, he went to play in the Development League last season.
As the season progressed, Jackson returned to the Grizzlies. He played 22 games as a substitute. Jackson averaged 17.3 minutes per game and contributed 9 points, 3 rebounds and 1.6 assists. In the past three years, his three-point shooting percentage is only 29.8%.
Jackson is 23 years old and he plays the role of small forward/shooting guard on the court. After joining the Pistons, he will compete with Segu Dubuya, Svyatoslav Mikhailuk and others for playing time.
