Yongzhou is located at the junction of the three provinces of Hunan, Guangdong, and Guangxi. It has a long history and culture and glorious revolutionary tradition. It is an important source of Huxiang civilization and has a profound cultural heritage. In the past year, the Yongzhou Military Subdistrict has taken advantage of local regional culture and closely followed the pulse of the times and the spiritual and cultural needs of officers and soldiers. It has strived to create a distinctive strong military culture. The effect of soft power has become increasingly prominent, and it has effectively promoted the overall improvement of various construction.
The Yongzhou Military Division carefully sorted out the local history and culture, summarized and extracted the three main lines of red, moral, and clean government culture, and integrated them into the whole process of cultivating a strong military culture. They organized personnel to go to counties and districts to conduct visits and investigations, compiled and printed series of books such as "Red Yongzhou", "Culture Yongzhou", "Strong Army Culture Reflects Xiaoxiang", and distributed them to cadres and staff and militia organizations at all levels; invited experts and scholars to teach, combined with the Red Army Stories about passing through Yongzhou, Chen Shuxiang's heartbroken Mingzhi, Wang Dingming's honesty and integrity, guided officers and soldiers to carry forward the fine traditions and inherit the will of the martyrs.
In addition, the military division also took the opportunity of formal combat readiness, training, work, and life to strengthen the construction of the political and cultural environment, and upgrade the military barracks and militia training bases: for Yongzhou’s long history of calligraphy culture and cliffs The unique reality of the stone carvings, the collection of famous aphorisms for the grassroots officers and soldiers, the famous calligraphy masters carved on the hills and rocks in the camp area, creating a "strong army cultural park"; portraits of the red figures and historical figures in Yongzhou, creating the "Yongzhou celebrity relief wall" . In addition, this military sub-district has also built a new "Strong Army Cultural Corridor" and "A Corridor of Heroes and Models of the Army" to create a strong atmosphere for strengthening the army.
In order to promote the transformation of the cultural achievements of the strong army, this military division also extends the construction of the strong army culture to the front line of exercises and infiltration of fine traditions to the front line of rescue. Since the beginning of this year, officers and soldiers of the military division have successfully completed more than 20 rescue and disaster relief tasks such as the devastating floods in southern Hunan and extinguishing wildfires.
