Compared with traditional fuel aircraft, electric aircraft has limited applications in manned aircraft due to limited battery life and power, but some companies are also trying.
Israeli startup Eviation launched its all-electric aircraft Alice at the 2019 Paris Air Show, and it has been moving towards its first flight ever since.
This week, the company reportedly took an important step towards this milestone, with some high-speed tests on the runway, achieving good results.
Alice is a luxurious electric aircraft that has undergone some design tweaks. The current version uses a pair of 640 kW MagniX motors, which are installed on both sides of the fuselage, and can provide a range of 814 kilometers and a cruising speed of 407 kilometers per hour.
payload capacity can reach 1130 kg, and the aircraft can accommodate 9 passengers and 2 crew members.
This test includes a rotation test, where the nose of the aircraft is pulled out of the apron to prepare for takeoff and successfully taxied at high speed on the runway.
However, the exact time of Alice's first flight has not been announced yet, so follow it later.
