Participating countries include the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, New Zealand, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates.

According to reports, on August 19, the United States gathered 17 countries to launch the "Pitch Black 2022" multinational joint exercise in northern Australia. participating countries include the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, India, the Philippines, , Indonesia, Malaysia , Singapore , Thailand, New Zealand , the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates.

The "Pitch Black" multinational joint exercise is a biennial routine air joint exercise held by Australia and its allies. Due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, the exercise has been suspended for four years and was not restarted until this year.

This military exercise will last until September 8. During this period, fighter jets from various countries will operate the aircraft in the unique environment of Darwin Base and Tyndall Base in northern Australia to conduct fighter air combat and related projects.

Since the main subject of this joint military exercise is air combat and related projects, all participating countries have dispatched many fighter jets and other types of military aircraft.

According to public information, hundreds of fighter jets have gathered in the Asia-Pacific due to this exercise, and the United States naturally has the largest number of fighter jets dispatched.

It is reported that the U.S. Air Force not only dispatched F-35 stealth fighters , but also dispatched multiple F-22 stealth fighters from Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii to participate in this exercise.

It is worth mentioning that among the 17 countries participating in this joint air exercise, three countries are participating for the first time, namely Japan, South Korea and Germany.

According to reports, on August 18, a formation of 6 KF-16 fighter jets and a KC-330 aerial tanker of the South Korean Air Force rushed to Australia.

And the German Air Force dispatched 13 fighter aircraft to the Asia-Pacific region as early as August 15, including 6 "Typhoon" fighter aircraft , 4 A400M transport aircraft and 3 A330 multi-purpose tanker aircraft.

It is reported that this is the first time that Germany has deployed fighter jets to the Asia-Pacific region since the end of World War II. Before the departure of the German fighter planes, the German media had speculated that the above-mentioned fighter planes would pass through the Taiwan Strait.

However, the German Air Force is obviously aware of the sensitivity of the Taiwan issue and immediately clarified the relevant reports, saying that its fighters have no plans to cross the Taiwan Strait and will only fly on international routes.

German Air Force Director Gerharz also emphasized that the deployment of German fighter jets in the Asia-Pacific is intended to send signals to Germany's partners, rather than to release certain signals to China.

Nevertheless, it is still unusual for the German Air Force to participate in this joint exercise. Especially when the current situation in the Asia-Pacific is so tense, it is obviously not simple for the German Air Force to make the above deployment.

Military experts believe that the United States plans to use Germany to strengthen the connection between NATO and AUKUS to establish a stronger political and military alliance in the Asia-Pacific region, but this will drag Germany into a major geopolitical game.

In addition to Germany, inviting Japan and South Korea to participate in this exercise is also a conspiracy of the United States. Currently, the United States is looking for ways to strengthen the ties between the U.S.-Japan-ROK alliance in order to achieve the purpose of containing China.

In addition, this exercise was held in northern Australia, which also exposed the United States' attempt to win over allies and create tension in the Asia-Pacific region.

It is reported that northern Australia is closer to the South China Sea than other regions. Therefore, the large-scale military exercises held by the United States and its allies in northern Australia have a very obvious meaning against China.

Faced with the blatant provocations from the United States and its allies, the People's Liberation Army will certainly not sit idly by and ignore it. On the same day that the 17-nation military exercise began, the People's Liberation Army showed its sword in the South China Sea and issued a stern warning to the United States and its allies.

According to my country Maritime Safety Administration, Hainan Qinglan Maritime Safety Administration issued two consecutive no-sail orders on August 16, announcing that the People’s Liberation Army will launch military training in different waters of the South China Sea on August 19.

The current situation around China is tense. The People's Liberation Army's frequent military training is to tell the United States: China is standing ready. If the United States and its allies dare to provoke or even cross the line, they will be decisively counterattacked. advises the United States and its allies to behave themselves and exercise restraint, otherwise they will face serious consequences.
