According to CIC News, Ontario’s Nominated Immigration Program (OINP) will undergo major adjustments to match the new Canadian Occupational Category (NOC) system in 2021.
It is reported that the new NOC 2021 system has been used by the Employment Development Agency of Canada (EDSC) and Statistics Agency of Canada (StatsCan), and the Immigration Canada (IRCC) will be implemented from November 16, which will affect the occupational requirements of OINP programs.

Provincial nomination projects that originally required occupational categories NOC 0, A, and B, will be adjusted to occupational categories TEER 0, 1, 2, and 3.
In addition, in the OINP- In-Demand Skills Stream, the original requirement for the designated NOC C and D occupational job opportunities will be adjusted to TEER C and 5 career opportunities.

In addition, according to NOC 2021, some occupations will change the NOC category, which will affect the applicant's application qualifications.
In addition to adjustments to the occupation category, the Immigration Department also proposes additional modifications to reduce the burden on the employer's guarantee category and improve its integrity.
Employer Guarantee International Student Category Adjustment
Requirement Applicants who are admitted to a postgraduate college in Canada for at least one year must meet the Ontario College Graduate Certificate defined under the Ontario Qualifications Framework.
Employer Guarantee Overseas Technical Workers Class Adjustment
Requires applicants to have Canadian Language Proficiency Test (CLB) Level 5 or above. The new language standards requirements are conducive to better integration of employees and are expected to better protect applicants and OINP programs from false statements and other issues.
Canadian Immigration Department is expected to be implemented on November 16 NOC 2021, 16 new occupations are added to meet the application qualification for fast-track application:
- payroll administrator;
- dental assistant and dental laboratory assistant;
- nursing assistant, health care and patient service deputy;
- pharmacist assistant and medical assistant;
- primary and secondary school teacher assistant;
- regional steward and bailiff ;
- punishment officer;
- by-law banned officials;
- technicians in the fields of beauty and electrotherapy;
- installers and service workers in private and commercial facilities;
- insect controller and sterilizer;
- other repair and service technicians;
- container truck driver;
- bus driver, subway operator and other transportation operators;
- heavy equipment operator;
- aviation industry assembly workers and inspectors.
- Other performers;
- Project leaders and coaches in entertainment, sports and fitness;
- Tailors, fur merchants and clothing manufacturers.
