Overseas Network, September 30 According to Reuters 29, under the influence of the energy crisis, the power outage or energy distribution of EU countries will cause some mobile networks to be paralyzed, and mobile phones across Europe may not be able to communicate online this winter.

Four telecom officials told Reuters that they are worried that the severe winter will test Europe's infrastructure, and companies and governments must work hard to mitigate the impact. Officials said many European countries currently do not have enough backup systems to deal with large-scale power outages, which increases the possibility of cell phone signal interruptions. According to reports, there are nearly 500,000 mobile communication base stations in Europe, most of which have backup batteries, but can only run for 30 minutes.

Some countries are taking steps to ensure mobile signals. French electricity distributors plan to take turns to power outages across the country. Although hospitals, police and government service departments will not be affected by the power outages, the mobile network is not on the power supply guarantee list. Swedish telecom regulator said it was buying portable base stations and gas stations to prepare for possible emergencies. Telecom Italy lobbies the government to exclude mobile networks from the power limit list. (Overseas Network Hou Xingchuan)
