On the morning of September 16, Hongmei Town held a special rectification work promotion meeting on the safety of commercial self-built houses. Mo Wei, deputy secretary of the Hongmei Town Committee and mayor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, emphasizing the need to further strengthen responsibilities, work together to form a joint force, accelerate the promotion of special rectification work, comprehensively eliminate safety hazards for self-built commercial houses in the jurisdiction, and resolutely curb the occurrence of major and serious accidents. Before the meeting, Mo Wei led a team to inspect the commercial self-built houses with safety hazards: the supply and marketing cooperative located at No. 45 Yanhe Road. Due to the age of time, the roof collapsed and the walls of the building were cracked; the commercial self-built house located in the east of the Jiaotang of Lizhou, caused cracks on the ground and walls due to uneven settlement of the foundation, and a restaurant also operated in the building. , Mo Wei asked the person in charge of the house to take corresponding measures strictly in accordance with the rectification plan and take immediate action. The
meeting reported on the recent investigation of commercial self-built houses and the situations that need to be rectified. It is reported that since May this year, Hongmei Town has carried out in-depth dragnet-style and full coverage inspections of self-built houses in its jurisdiction. In accordance with the work arrangement, the whole town must complete the renovation of commercial self-built houses before September 30. For self-built houses with safety hazards, one household must be rectified and one household must be cancelled, ensuring that "dilant houses do not enter people, and people do not enter dilapidated houses", timely eliminate safety hazards for commercial self-built houses in the town, and effectively ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
Mo Wei emphasized that we must raise awareness, act quickly, and resolutely win the battle against rectification. The whole town must always keep the safety management of self-built houses tight, overcome the mentality of fluke, consolidate work responsibilities, unswervingly complete this special rectification action, and resolutely safeguard the safety of people's lives and property. We must highlight key points and implement policies in a classified manner to ensure that there are no dead ends in the investigation of hidden dangers; all villages (communities) and departments and units should carefully compare with the "Dongguan City Self-built House Safety Hazard Remediation Work Guidelines" and the "Hongmei Town Commercial Self-built House Safety Implementation Plan", accelerate the pace of rectification, mobilize all parties, and strengthen publicity and guidance.
Mo Wei demanded that it is necessary to improve the system, learn from one example and promote the standardization of construction management, and on the basis of solidly carrying out the "100-day Action", we should do a good job in long-term management of the safety of self-built houses, speed up the establishment of rules and regulations, timely summarize experience, build a multi-level policy and system system, and focus on strengthening source, cycle and construction management.
