He is Qin Gang, the chief river chief of the Youth Volunteers of Yuzhong District and the captain of the Yuzhong District Volunteer Service Team to Protect Green Water and Clean Banks.

In July 2016, Qin Gang came to Chongqing and lived on the banks of the Jialing River. The clear water and waves made him yearn for it, and also gave him a deeper understanding of "clear water and green mountains are mountains of gold and silver". He began to try to protect the green mountains of Chongqing water in his own way.

In November 2017, he served as the chief youth volunteer river chief of Yuzhong District and established the "He Xiaoqing" youth volunteer river chief service team of Yuzhong District.

In September 2019, with the support of the Yuzhong District Transportation Bureau, the Yuzhong District Green Water and Bank Cleaning Action Volunteer Service Team was established, with Qin Gang as the captain.

From the moment he became a volunteer river chief, regular river patrols and river protection have almost become a "compulsory course" for Qin Gang every week. During the process of patrolling the river, he found that it was difficult to get down to the river in many sections of the river, making it difficult to patrol the river on the spot. In order to make the concept of ecological civilization deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, Qin Gang innovated the form of activities and established a "Youth Green Water Social Practice Base" in the "Youth Home" of the People's Village Community. He used the summer vacation to continue planning interesting water quality monitoring experiments, environmentally friendly handicrafts, and green travel maps. , garbage classification competition and other educational and entertaining practical activities, a total of more than 30 themed activities have been carried out, serving more than 1,000 people, and planting the seeds of environmental protection in the hearts of young people.

Since November 2017, Qin Gang has organized more than 70 times for young volunteer river chiefs in Yuzhong District to carry out activities such as river patrols and river protection, pollution source investigation, etc., with more than 3,000 participants and more than 5,000 hours of volunteer service.
