html From June 27th to 29th, the newly appointed Korean Consul General in Xi'an Kim Han-gyu and his six-member delegation visited Lanzhou. On the afternoon of the 27th, Zhang Jingang, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Governor, met with Kim Han-gyu and his delegation in Lanzhou.

Zhang Jingang extended his warm welcome to Kim Han-kyu and his delegation for their visit to Gansu. He said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea 30 years ago, under the background of the continuous deepening of relations between the two countries, Gansu and South Korea have become increasingly active in exchanges and cooperation in economic and trade exchanges, cultural exchanges, personnel exchanges and other fields. Currently, with the entry into force of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement , it is hoped that both parties will deeply explore and expand areas of cooperation, continue to expand the scale of trade, continue to deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and strive to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Kim Han-gyu said that taking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea as an opportunity, he hopes that Gansu and South Korea will further strengthen practical cooperation in trade, investment and other fields, and work together to promote the sustained and stable development of friendly relations between the two parties.

During his visit to Lanzhou, the Consul General and his delegation also visited Gansu Provincial Museum , Gansu Provincial Natural Energy Research Institute, and participated in the "China-South Korea Friendship Forest" activity. At the Provincial Museum, the Consul General was full of praise for Gansu’s long and rich history and culture. At the Institute of Natural Energy, the Consul General listened to the introduction on the use of solar energy in our province and visited the laboratory with great interest. On the morning of the 29th, the Consul General and his delegation co-organized the "China-ROK Friendship Forest" event with the Lanzhou Municipal Government and some Korean expatriates in Lanzhou. This event has been held for twelve consecutive years and has played a positive role in further improving the ecological environment of Lanzhou City.
