reporter then contacted Feng Qunzhi, a provincial capital citizen who found the Green-Headed Duck.

As a photography enthusiast, Feng Qunzhi often goes to the banks of the Hutuo River to take pictures of birds. Feng Qunzhi told reporters that at around 10:00 on October 16, he originally planned to go to the Hutuo River to shoot cormorant , but on the south bank near the intersection of Hutuo River and Fuxing Street in Shijiazhuang City, he found a group of white bones on the top of , and there was also an white-eyed duck in the middle.

At around 8:00 on October 18, Feng Qunzhi once again came to the south bank near the intersection of Hutuo River and Fuxing Street, preparing to continue taking pictures of birds.

"At that time, I found this group of white bones in the cracks of calamus on the shore. They were foraging at that time. This time there were three 'white-eyed ducks' among them." Feng Qunzhi said that after taking the photo, he found one of the three with black hair on the head. "I suspected that this was just a blue-headed duck, but I dared not confirm it."

Qingheaded duck

Later, Feng Qunzhi passed the photo to several bird photography enthusiasts. One of them, who had photographed the blue-headed duck in Baiyangdian , checked it and confirmed that the black hair on the head was indeed a blue-headed duck.

Qingtou Screw Duck

Shijiazhuang Forestry Bureau also invited relevant experts to identify the photos and confirmed that it was a Qingtou Screw Duck. This is the first time that a Qingtou Screw Duck has been observed in Shijiazhuang. It is reported that the green-headed duck is a national first-class key protected wild animal. It is listed as a "critical danger (CR)" species by the "Hyperbolic Red List of Endangered Species of the World Union for Conservation of Nature" and only about 1,000 of them remain in the world.
