Coco Salazar from San Jose, California worked 15 hours a day, so she asked her husband to go to the beautician to pick up their dog, Cloth Bear, home. When her husband Rudy arrived at the pet grooming shop, he told the clerk that he was here to help his wife Cocoa pick up the dog home. The staff then handed him a white dog and he went home immediately.
But within a few seconds of his walk into the door, Coco found something was wrong with their dog and asked her husband to take a closer look. She wrote on social media: "Everyone said I did too much and asked your family to help you. After 15 hours of work, my good husband said, 'Dear, can I do anything to help you?' I said, 'Okay, you can pick up our dogs from the beautician, so that happened... He brought the wrong dog home. They gave him a dog named Coco because he said I was helping my wife Coco."
Luckily, the couple quickly reunited with their beloved dog. One user commented under Coco's post: "How did this happen? Haha, full-level husband!" Another user added: "The dog's expression was like saying 'What the hell is he doing?'" The third user said: "At least he worked hard."
But Rudy wasn't the only one who brought strangers' pet home. A woman took her dog, a Newfoundland mixed-blood German shepherd , to the beautician to cut her hair, and then picked it up as usual.
But before walking out the door, the woman began to question her dog's behavior, and she felt different from usual. However, she thought that the dog might be in an unfamiliar environment and would return to "normal" after relaxing at home.
After taking care of the dog for four months, the woman's mother unexpectedly received a call from a beautician and explained to her what happened. She said: "For four months, I have been caring for and loving this dog named Emma, which looks exactly like my dog. But somehow, it is a little different from Emma I once knew. Since we brought it back, it acted like it was traumatized. My mom then got a call from a beautician. She asked my mom to take Emma to her shop right away. Because just a few days ago, another dog owner asked her the same question (about their dog’s recent unusual behavior).
The dog she has been caring for is named Bell, and belongs to a pair of nearly elderly mentally ill patients. Their dog looks like a twin sister who is almost a litter of Emma. Although now her dog is back, the lady has been questioning how this mess will affect the dogs in the long term.
