They are foraging in a shallow, and they are very agile and fast. I saw them standing in the beach, putting their mouths into the water, and using the curved upward part of the mouth to approach the mud layer, constantly slashing to both sides. Once they touched the small fish, shrimp and aquatic insects, they immediately opened their mouths and held them, then tilted their heads to swallow them. The shaking mouth was like a small sickle.
Anti-billed sandpipers like to eat small crustaceans, aquatic insects, insect larvae , worms and mollusks , etc. It is reported that the anti-billed sniper is a rare piloss, with a body of about 43 cm long, a black top and a white body, with wide black edges on the wing tips, wing spots and shoulders. It looks like a gentleman wearing a white robe and a black ribbon. Because its mouth is long and sharp and its front end is raised upwards significantly, it is called "reverse-billed snipe".
The anti-billed sniper is a migratory bird that only rests in Jinan on its way south.
