The so-called beneficial bacteria contain many kinds and we are used to refer to them collectively as nitrifying bacteria. Here you just need to know that it is not just one type of nitrifying bacteria. Instead, we are used to calling them nitrifying bacteria.

In fact, nitrifying bacteria do not only exist in water. They are everywhere, including in the air we breathe. Even if any nitrifying bacteria are not manually introduced, the water and filtration system in the fish tank will accumulate nitrifying bacteria by itself. It just takes a certain amount of time. So sometimes we choose to manually place nitrified bacteria and bacterial food (foods provided by nitrified bacteria) to accelerate the cultivation of nitrified bacteria and raise water faster. Of course, it is better to have filter cotton or old water in an old fish tank, so that nitrifying bacteria can be introduced more efficiently. Usually it takes two or three days.
Of course, there are hundreds of ways to nourish water. Everyone has different approaches to everyone. Just talk about my own experience. Now I am more accustomed to violently opening the tank. I did not add any nitrifying bacteria, just filled a tank of tap water, put the filter material, turned on the circulation water pump , and put the fish directly after 1-2 days of explosive oxygen.

Now most ornamental fish can basically adapt to our tap water due to artificial reproduction and domestication. Especially in some southern regions, the water quality is relatively soft, so there is absolutely no problem in maintaining tap water. Speaking of this, I really envy my brothers in the south. The water quality in our north is relatively hard. I have tested the water quality of our home with a water quality test pen. Can reach 500+tds.
Everyone knows that raising Colorful Immortal has relatively high requirements for water quality. Especially good varieties and wild colorful angelfish . Everyone likes soft water . However, the civilian colorful fairy sold on the market can adapt to tap water well. So I recommend that we have to spend at least 24 hours of sleepy water before it can be added to the fish tank. The so-called trapped water means finding a wide-mouth container and putting the tap water connected from the water pipe in a cool and ventilated place to sit. Some information says that it takes six hours to get stuck in water, but I personally recommend that it is safer to get stuck in water for 24 hours.
An important purpose of trapping water is to volatile chlorine gas in water.Because chlorine can cause harm to the fish. For example, the most common symptoms of rotten meat and bad tails. Of course, there are some drugs on the market that can treat chlorine in water, but after all, it is a chemical product, so we should try our best. Use less chemical things.
4. Daily water changes.
A fish tank with a stable filtration system combined with a reasonable water change frequency and water change amount is the key to raising good fish. The more frequent the water is, the better it is for the fish. Of course, not changing the water for a long time will definitely have an impact on the health of the fish. For example, the colorful angelfish prefers new water, and sometimes I change water by 100% a day. Therefore, the frequency of changing water when raising colorful angelfish can be faster. Change of water can not only ensure the health of water quality, but also promote the metabolism of colorful angelfish and make them grow faster.
Some fish have too high frequency of water change, which will kill the fish. For example, dragon, tiger, ray. High-frequency water changes will cause the water quality to fluctuate and change, and at this time these fish will feel extremely uncomfortable and even die of illness.
So it is necessary to reasonably arrange the water change amount and frequency of water change according to the different fish raised and the filtering system of the fish tank. Generally speaking, a fish tank with a stable filtration system. Change water 1-2 times a week, and the water change amount is controlled between 1/5-1/4, and the water temperature of the fish tank is not too different from the water temperature of the fish tank, most ornamental fishes You can live comfortably.
