I don’t know since when, I fell in love with raising guppy . Maybe it’s because it looks beautiful, or maybe it’s because I failed to raise it several times and I felt unwilling to do so.
Since the fish tank at home exploded last time, I bought a new fish tank. Although it is one size smaller, it still fits well on the table.
After organizing the fish tank, I started planning how to use the fish tank.
There are several kinds of fish here now, including grass goldfish , wheat ear fish , gobies , Chinese fighting fish , guppies, and a black-shelled algae-removing shrimp.
Because the individual differences between these types of fish and shrimp are too large, it is easy for the big fish to eat the small fish. I was thinking about how to make them coexist peacefully in the fish tank.
I first bought some partitions, but they were very uncomfortable to put in the fish tank. The small spaces on each floor made the fish feel like they were in prison. Moreover, the partitions were always tilted here and there in the fish tank, which was unsightly.
Later I thought of another way, find some transparent plastic buckets , and then use an awl to poke holes one by one, put the small fish in them, and then put them in the fish tank. This is how to make a simple isolation box alright. In the
isolation box, I put stones, Indian bamboo grass, and duckweed . In this way, it feels more perfect in my opinion.
However, I finally threw away this treated isolation bucket because I found that many, many guppies died in it.
It may be that the water circulation is not good, or it may be that the guppies are in poor physical condition, I don’t know.
In this case, it is better to put the guppies in a large fish tank and let them compete freely. As long as there are enough guppies, the big fish should not be able to eat them all.
