There is no heavy draft horse breed in Russia. In the late 19th century, the Khrenovski stud farm of Voronezh Oblast Voronezh Oblast was established. China first introduced 332 Su Chongwan horses in 1953 for breeding in Heilongjiang Province. Su Chongwan matures earlier; the average body size of newborn foals is 61.2% of that of adult horses, and the body size reaches 93.3% of that of adult horses at the age of 2 years. Under normal feeding and management conditions in warm areas, growth and development can be completed at the age of 3-4 years. In severe cold areas, they can fully grow and develop at the age of 5 years.
