Mr. Yu Guangzhong, a literary master who has lived in Kaohsiung for 30 years, once wrote a poem about Kaohsiung called "Let Spring Depart from Kaohsiung". That poem was also my first impression of Kaohsiung. I always looked forward to visiting Kaohsiung one spring.

Mr. Yu Guangzhong, a literary master who has lived in Kaohsiung for thirty years, once wrote a poem for Kaohsiung called "Let Spring Depart from Kaohsiung" . That poem was also my first impression of Kaohsiung. I always look forward to visiting Kaohsiung one spring.

It was precisely because of that expectation that my wish to go to Kaohsiung came true many years ago, and I went there three times.. Especially in a rainy spring, every day in Kaohsiung is an unforgettable memory.

During my stay in Kaohsiung, walking along the Love River is what I most like to do . The name of Love River comes from a poignant love story, but it is precisely because of this name that it is full of romantic poetry. The environment beside the Love River is excellent, and it is the favorite place for Kaohsiung people to relax after dinner.

During our stay in Kaohsiung, we spent a whole day at Pier 2 Pier. It is an art special zone similar to Beijing's 798, and its rich literary and artistic atmosphere makes it fascinating.

To be honest, Pier 2 is the only one in Kaohsiung that allows me to stroll around for two days. Only Pier 2 is the place I always go to involuntarily when I don’t know where to go. I think it is the soul of Kaohsiung.

Every time I go to Taiwan Province of China, although I drive around the island, in Kaohsiung I am willing to put down the steering wheel occasionally and take the MRT . Kaohsiung has a subway station known as "the second most beautiful in the world". Its name is also nice, called Beautiful Island .

Under the "Dome of Light" at the Formosa Metro Station, we are fortunate enough to appreciate the stained glass scroll created by an Italian artist. It is a beautiful and dreamy feeling . Sometimes, citizens use the white piano in the subway station to play some romantic piano music. At that time, we can't help but sit on the floor and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere.

During our stay in Kaohsiung, sometimes we would stroll through the streets. The street names in Kaohsiung are different from those in Taipei. Taipei is mostly named after cities in mainland China, such as Beijing Street, Harbin Road, etc. Many street names in Kaohsiung have gained auspiciousness, such as Yixin, Ersheng, Sanduo, Siwei, Wufu, Liuhe, Qixian, Bade, Jiuru, Shiquan, etc..

Speaking of street names, the one we are most familiar with is naturally Liuhe, because Liuhe Night Market is a place you will never miss in Kaohsiung. It is also the most famous night market in Taiwan.. Liuhe Night Market is adjacent to Kaohsiung Railway Station. During the day, the intersection is bustling with traffic, and at night it becomes a night market with intertwined lights, bustling people and delicious food.

In addition to visiting the night market at night, I also like to sit on the Gushan viewing platform next to the Xiziwan Scenic Area, sipping coffee and overlooking the entire Kaohsiung City at night. At that time, Kaohsiung, with its thousands of lights, was not as prosperous as mainland cities, but it was still a very charming scene.

During my stay in Kaohsiung, I also cycled on Cijin Island, enjoyed the most beautiful sunset at the lighthouse of Sun Yat-sen University in Xiziwan, and learned about the rise and fall of Kaohsiung Port in the harbor area. All these are unforgettable memories of Kaohsiung. I am eagerly looking forward to going to Taiwan Province of China again one day, and I will definitely go to Kaohsiung City to stay for a while. Do you like Kaohsiung? Will you also visit Kaohsiung one day?
