China News Service, November 1. According to Taiwan's "China Times", after the second MRI test of the giant panda "Tuantuan" donated to Taiwan by the mainland, it was found that the probability of malignant brain tumors has increased significantly. The mainland will arrange for two experts to visit Taiwan. Taipei Mayor Ke Wenzhe however called Tuantuan a "daughter-in-law who is about to die." On October 31, the Kuomintang caucus of the Taipei City Council criticized Ke Wenzhe for only making sarcastic remarks. Taiwan's "Council of Agriculture" even said it could send "Tuantuan" back to the mainland, which was a cold-blooded rejection of the blame. Former Taipei City Mayor Hao Longbin also criticized that the "Council of Agriculture" was not a "slip of the tongue" but should be "abominable".

Since the pandas were presented to Taiwan on New Year's Day in 2009 and met with the public, the number of visitors to the panda pavilion has reached 26.28 million. Tuantuan and Yuanyuan, who were born on July 6, 2013, created NT$500 million in business opportunities when they were born. Now that "Tuantuan" is sick, Taiwan's "Agricultural Committee" said that "Tuantuan" should be sent back. Ke Wenzhe also said that "Tuantuan" is a "daughter-in-law who is about to die" and does not need any medical assistance. Hao Longbin said that he believed that the mainland has a lot of experience in treating pandas. If the Taipei City Government holds the attitude that medical assistance is not needed, he completely disagrees.
Taipei City Councilor Qin Huizhu of the Kuomintang said that "Tuantuan" and "Yuanyuan" are family members in Taiwan. Now that they are sick, they say that they are "dying." She asked Ke Wenzhe, "Would they say this if they were their own family members?"
Hao Longbin pointed out that Taipei City is the hometown of "Tuantuan" and "Yuanyuan", and "Tuantuan" and "Yuanyuan" belong to the Taipei City Government. The "Agricultural Committee" said that it is really ridiculous to send them back. It is not so much a "slip of the tongue" as it is "abominable".
