Recently, 1,000 piglets "moved" and settled in "villas" in the spacious and bright standardized pig breeding demonstration farm in Tian'e Village, Gaoliang Town, Wanzhou District, Chongqing.

monitoring room, the management staff switched the camera back and forth on the screen, constantly observing the dynamics of the pig house. I saw batches of piglets entering the pig farm.
Zhang Benjie, the person in charge of Chongqing Three Gorges Agricultural Group Co., Ltd., said happily that after resuming work and production, they intensified their efforts. With the joint efforts of everyone, they completed the construction of the pig farm in only two months. The Gaoliang Pig Breeding Demonstration Farm is responsible for the standardization of pig industry development, standardization of production management, integration of comprehensive utilization of organic fertilizers, and leadership in training and demonstration in the region. "After the piglets enter the pig farm, we must not only breed them scientifically, but also do a good job in standardization. We must train and cultivate professional pig farmers who master new technologies to lay a solid foundation for the healthy and sustainable development of the pig industry."
The fight is fierce and will be "confined"
Entering the pig house, the breeder known as the "Pig Commander" greeted him. He had been looking forward to these little pigs for a long time. "The pig farm was built without confining pigs, and I felt empty. Now the piglets are playing and running around in the pen, and I feel happy instead. It shows that they are healthy and growing well." However, when he saw some piglets fighting under his nose at the scene, the breeder had a serious expression: "Let them go crazy. After two days, they will be divided into pens. If they fight violently, they will be put in solitary confinement."
Confinement is not necessarily a joke. The breeder said that pig farms are now completely modernized and breeding aggressive pigs separately can reduce losses caused by pigs biting the rack.
It is understood that the Three Gorges Agricultural Group's Sorghum Pig Breeding Demonstration Farm is the demonstration base of Wanzhou District 's "Million Pig Ecological Breeding Project". It adopts the "raised mesh bed, probiotics, ectopic fermentation" ecological breeding model. The feces produced by pig farming are fermented and used as organic fertilizer, achieving "zero emissions" and "zero pollution". It is a very advanced breeding model. In the pig farm, piglets drink water from an automatic water fountain. The water fountain has a pressure nozzle. As long as the piglet arches its mouth, it can easily drink water. The feeding of piglets is also automated.
"In the next few days, 1,500 piglets will gradually enter the pig farm. Once all are in place, there will be 2,500 piglets in this base." The implementation of Wanzhou's pig ecological breeding project will allow more pigs to bid farewell to traditional pig houses and settle in modern "villas", which will play a positive role in enriching citizens' "meat plates", allowing citizens to eat "safe meat", stabilizing consumer prices, and increasing farmers' income.
