Tainan 43-year-old man Cai had a financial dispute with his ex-father-in-law at work, so he went to his ex-father-in-law’s house with a modified pistol, held the gun to his head, and threatened to hand over his property, but failed. The police later captured him and confiscated the modified pistol.
The police said that at 9:50 pm on February 12, the police received a report that a man with a gun appeared in the area of Xinhua. The police immediately formed a task force to dispatch personnel to investigate. The task force went to the scene to conduct surveillance and found out the license plate number of the vehicle used by the man involved. Following the clues, it was found that the suspect was 43-year-old Cai.
The police said that Cai and his ex-father-in-law had a financial dispute at work. On the night of February 11, negotiations between Cai and his ex-father-in-law and his friends broke down. So after drinking at night, Cai stormed into his ex-mother-in-law's house with a modified pistol containing 5 bullets. He wanted to argue with his ex-father-in-law. Cai held a gun to his ex-mother-in-law's head and demanded that his ex-father-in-law come and hand over his work belongings, but to no avail.
Cai was promptly arrested by the police before he escaped. After police investigation, they found the modified pistol hidden in the cracks of the kitchen window screen. Currently, the case is under further investigation.
