"At present, the number of newly reported positive people in Zhejiang has exceeded 1 million. Based on recent case monitoring and community sampling survey results, the infection situation is predicted. It is expected that the peak in Zhejiang will arrive early and enter a high plateau period around New Year's Day, during which the number of new positive people per day will reach a maximum of 2 million. Cui Weiwu, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Hangzhou Municipal Health Commission, introduced the recent epidemic prevention and control measures and medical security situation, saying that as of 15:00 on December 24, there were 1,637 cases in hospitals in Hangzhou, and their current conditions are relatively stable. "The number of patients admitted to fever clinics has increased from more than 4,000 on December 5 to more than 50,000 currently, reaching more than 60,000 at the peak," Cui Weiwu said.
Lu Jianxiang, deputy director of the Hangzhou Economic and Information Bureau, said that through various channels, municipal and district-level hospitals and drug distribution companies have recently purchased nearly 100,000 boxes of antipyretic drugs daily, and also coordinated the allocation of nearly 10 million antipyretic drugs. Next, Hangzhou will distribute some antipyretics, antigen detection reagents, etc. to community health service centers, giving full play to the role of Hangzhou’s home health service platform to better realize online on-demand applications and offline precise delivery of medicines.
