French star Wembanyama is the favorite to be the No. 1 pick in 2023.
French rising star Victor Wembanyama has been discussed by fans even before he entered the NBA. Many draft prediction websites believe that he is the best candidate for the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA draft. In a recent interview with " Le Parisien ", he also discussed his views on NBA teams messing up for him.
Wenbanyama said, is it messed up? It's a weird strategy, I don't think it makes sense, I try not to think about it, and while I've heard the NBA is considering changing the rules for me, it's not relevant to me at this time. "
Bunyama will turn 19 on January 4 next year. He currently plays for the Ligue 1 team Metropolitans 92. He has played 15 games this season and averaged 22.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 3.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals. He shot 48.6% from the field and 29.6% from the three-point field.
The current top five teams in the league are: Pistons , Hornets , Rockets, Spurs , and Magic. It is worth mentioning that this year's draft picks for the Lakers, which have the sixth-worst record, have been sent to the Pelicans in the Anthony Davis trade.
