How to calculate overtime pay during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day? You can earn one-third more monthly salary in these 3 days
The Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day are approaching, and the annual Moments Travel Photography Contest will kick off again. Some people have chosen to work overtime. Although they cannot enjoy the fun of traveling, they can still earn overtime pay. The Sino-Singapore Jingwei client helped them calculate their accounts. If they worked overtime for three days during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday and did not take any compensatory time off, they could receive overtime pay that was close to one-third of their monthly salary; if they worked all overtime for seven days during the National Day holiday without compensating time off, they would receive overtime pay that was close to 80% of their monthly salary.
According to the "Notice on the Conversion of Employees' Average Monthly Working Hours and Wages for the Year" issued by the former Ministry of Labor, when an employer converts an employee's monthly salary into a daily wage, the number of monthly pay days should be converted into 21.75 days. Therefore, the specific calculation formula is as follows:
triple daily wage = monthly wage base ÷ 21.75 × 300%;
double daily wage = monthly wage base ÷ 21.75 × 200%;
hourly overtime wage = daily overtime wage ÷ 8.
