Two-time Golden Horse Best Actor -
According to this newspaper, on December 6th, Ke Junxiong, the two-time Golden Horse Best Actor, passed away due to recurrence of lung cancer at the age of 70. Ko Jun-hsiung made his fortune in Taiwanese films in his early years. In 1967, he filmed "Seventeen Lonely" and won the Best Actor at the 14th Asian Film Festival. He was also the first Taiwanese actor to win this award. He became popular on the big screen with his tough guy image, and his representative works include "Eternal Heroes" and "The Eight Hundred Heroes". Later, he won the Golden Horse Award for Best Actor twice with "A Hero of a Generation - Cao Cao".
In the late 1990s, Ke Junxiong retired from the entertainment industry and joined politics. Ke Junxiong has been married twice. His first wife was Taiwan's most beautiful woman before Brigitte Lin, Zhang Meiyao, the queen of Golden Bell. The two divorced in 2004 due to the man's cheating. At that time, Ke Junxiong gave birth to a son and a daughter with his extramarital affair partner Cai Qinghua.
Ke Junxiong has loved movies all his life. On the occasion of the 50th Golden Horse Awards the year before last year, Ke Junxiong specially recorded a "Golden Horse Star" video. In the film, he laughed and said: "I was an actor before I fell down!" He also left legendary rumors for the film industry.
In 1990, Ke Junxiong and Stephen Chow co-produced the movie "The Last Gangster". Ke Junxiong later revealed that there was no need for live recording but post-dubbing. One time Stephen Chow's dialogue had 12 words. During the filming, he actually read the numbers 1 to 12 to Ko Junxiong. Ko Junxiong immediately became angry and scolded Stephen Chow to tears on the spot. Ko Junxiong filmed the movie "Goodbye A Lang" in the 1970s, and later starred in the movie "A Lang's Story" with Chow Yun-fat. The two "Alangs" cherish each other in real life: When Ke Junxiong and Chow Yun-fat co-produced "The Love" and "Heroes", even if Ke Junxiong was only filming his own scenes, Chow Yunfa would patiently stand aside and watch him act, and even called him "Master".
Ke Junxiong's death also left a lot of mysteries. For example, the death of the famous martial arts novelist Gu Long. Some Taiwanese media reported that in 1980, Ke Junxiong took a group of brothers to a hotel to drink. When he learned that Gu Long was next door, he asked someone to go drink with him. But Gu Long had just formed Powerlong Pictures to film at that time, and he was unwilling to socialize due to exhaustion. The two sides had a dispute over this, and Gu Long inadvertently slapped someone on Ke Junxiong's side on the shoulder, and was stabbed and seriously injured by the other party. Later, Gu Long was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment and contracted hepatitis during a blood transfusion. Coupled with his later addiction to alcohol, Gu Long finally died of massive hemorrhage from an esophageal venous aneurysm caused by liver cirrhosis in 1985. He was under 50 years old at the time.
