Adidas and the German club Bayern Munich jointly released the team's new home jersey for the 2018-19 season in Munich on May 9. The new jersey is designed to pay tribute to the club's slogan "Mia san mia (I am who I am)". Bayern Munich will soon wear a new jersey to challenge for the seventh consecutive Bundesliga championship.
Bayern Munich's new home jersey cites the club's glorious history. The main color still continues the iconic red. The famous diamond pattern in the club emblem is embedded on the front. The design of the "M"-shaped pattern throughout is inspired by the club's slogan - "Mia san mia".
Adidas Senior Design Director Juergen Rank said: "Bayern Munich is one of the most iconic and historic clubs in the world. Adhering to Adidas's principle and original intention of 'paying tribute to the classics and striving for innovation', we hope to carry forward this strong tradition in a new and creative way. 'Mia san mia’ represents the spiritual core of Bayern club, so we thought it would be perfect to introduce this element and reshape the home shirt for the new season.
The new home jersey will make its debut on May 12th when Bayern Munich plays Stuttgart .
