“For more than 90 years, Macy’s Thanksgiving tours have brought joy to millions of people, gathering with friends and family on the streets of New York City to experience this unique festive celebration among families across the country.”

huayu News According to American Chinese website reports Macy's (Macy's) announced the lineup of the annual Thanksgiving Parade in New York on Monday, a traditional event that will return to normal this year, including huge balloon floats and live performances, as well as the newly added "Baby Yoda".

"For more than 90 years, Macy's Thanksgiving tour has brought joy to millions of people, gathering with friends and family on the streets of New York City to experience this unique festival celebration among families across the country." Will Coss, executive producer of the parade, said in a press conference.

This year's 95th parade will start at 9 am on Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 25. All volunteers and staff participating in the parade must receive the new crown vaccine .

Macy's said that in order to host the event safely, the department store will work closely with New York City and New York State officials to ensure that the health and safety of the march is in line with the CDC guidelines and other relevant rules.

Macy's previously announced in September that its full-scale Thanksgiving parade will return this year. Its press release on Monday details new additions and security measures for this year's celebrations. A new "Funko Pop!inspired Grogu" was added to the

special float, which is the baby Yoda in the popular drama " Mandalorian ". And Pikachu and Ibrahimovic from "Pokemon" are also a big feature.

Carrie Underwood will lead the music performance lineup, and other performers include Korean girl group Aespa and Matchbox 20 lead singer Robert Thomas (Rob Thomas).

Macy's held a narrower Thanksgiving parade last year due to the epidemic. The parade abandoned its traditional 2.5-mile route and instead focused on the 34th Street block. Many of the performances in the 2020 parade were recorded in advance, rather than the usual live performances. Because of avoiding cross-state travel, the performers are all locals, not from all over the country. (Original title: Macy's Thanksgiving Parade returns completely, Giant Balloon adds this role)
