1 The first C919 was delivered in December China Eastern Airlines
According to China Transportation News , at the enlarged meeting of the Party Group of China Eastern Airlines held on the morning of October 24, Li Yangmin, general manager and deputy secretary of the Party Group of China Eastern Airlines, said that the first C919 aircraft will be delivered to China Eastern Airlines in December this year. China Eastern Airlines will truly assume the important political responsibility of the first commercial operation of the C919 large passenger aircraft through "comprehensive cooperation, full participation, and full efforts", to ensure flight safety, ambition, brand, and benefits.
2 The first 767 passenger-to-cargo delivery
On October 28, the first Boeing 767-300 that completed passenger-to-cargo conversion in China was delivered to the customer. The transformation of this aircraft was completed on the modification line of Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. (GAMECO). GAMECO currently operates two 767-300BCF modification lines and three 737-800BCF modification lines. Their first 767-300BCF modification line started in the second quarter of this year, and the second was launched in September. Boeing has previously announced that it will open 8 new 737-800BCF modification lines at existing and new partners in China and other countries around the world.
3 China Southern Airlines cancels 737 MAX flights
On the morning of October 27, China Southern Airlines overseas websites and third-party ticketing websites showed that on October 30, CZ3960/CZ3933 from Guangzhou to Zhengzhou and CZ8724/7 flights between Guangzhou and Wuhan will be operated by 737 MAX 8. If it comes true, this will be the first time that Chinese airlines have resumed commercial flights of this type since the 737 MAX was grounded in March 2019. However, that night and the next day, China Southern Airlines canceled these flights one after another, and the specific reasons were not explained to the public.
Chinese airlines currently receive 97 737 MAX passenger aircraft, of which China Southern Airlines has the largest number, with 24 aircraft.
4 Cathay Pacific flight set the farthest commercial direct flight record
On October 12, the Cathay Pacific flight from New York Kennedy Airport to Hong Kong, which was run by A350-1000 and flew to Hong Kong by New York Kennedy Airport, chose a route to fly east from JFK. Due to the route planning, it bypassed Russian airspace. The flight flew across Atlantic , Southern Europe, Black Sea , Caspian , and Central Asia and entered Chinese airspace and arrived in Hong Kong 17 hours and 8 minutes after taking off. The whole journey is 9007 nautical miles/16681 kilometers, and the longest route from Singapore to New York, which exceeds , Singapore Airlines, , is the longest commercial direct flight to date.
In addition, Cathay Pacific said that due to the severe headwinds and high-industry flights on the US Eastern route, from November 1, Cathay Pacific flights from New York to Hong Kong will resume use of polar routes and fly over Russian Far East , making it the first major airline to resume use of Russian airspace.

8 Salute to Abolou
With the advancement of the third phase of Baiyun Airport expansion project and a special reason, the famous aircraft photography base "Abolou", which has been with Guangzhou Feiyou for many years and is located on Hantang Street, Baiyun District, was officially closed on October 4. This village house located outside the east runway of Baiyun Airport is a well-deserved and friendly owner of the house, Li Bo, has become a famous gathering place for aircraft photography and aviation culture, attracting many domestic and foreign aviation enthusiasts to check in. 2022 is a farewell year for Guangzhou aviation enthusiasts.
