In response, HTC responded that it would not comment on market speculation news, and emphasized that HTC is committed to expanding the metacosmic ecosystem, with partners covering telecommunications, art, education, entertainment and other fields. It is expected that a new generation of VR products will be released in the first half of next year.
IT Home learned that HTC carried out a round of enterprise transformation and organization reorganization plan last year, and created seven major business groups in one go, including VIVE Systems, VIVERSE, G Reigns, HTC smartphones and smart devices, VIVE Arts, VIVE ORIGINALS and DeepQ, among which VR-related business groups account for the highest proportion.
In June this year, international giants such as Meta, Microsoft , Nvidia, Qualcomm formed the "Meta Universe Standard Forum" to try to make the metaverse industry standards first, and HTC was not willing to lag behind and joined the company before most companies could react.
According to reports, HTC is very optimistic about the prospects of VR and metacosmic. It has established Vive X accelerator/incubator in Taipei, Beijing, Shenzhen, San Francisco , Israel and other places respectively. At present, Vive X accelerator has become the most active virtual reality and augmented reality industry investment institutions in the world, and has selected nearly 70 global new innovation teams.
