Colored pencil , is a painting form that combines sketching and color. Its uniqueness lies in its rich and delicate colors, which can show a lighter and transparent texture.
This is something that other tools and materials cannot achieve. Only works that fully utilize the uniqueness of colored lead can be considered a true colored lead painting.
Materials required to be prepared: Thicker paper (such as sketch paper), white paper. Pencil, colored lead, rubber, knife.
Composition: First use a pencil to draw the outline of the object.
Types of colored lead
wax colored lead: is mostly wax-based, rich in color and special effect.
Water-soluble colored lead: is mostly water-soluble with carbon matrix, but water-soluble colored lead is difficult to form smooth color layers and easily forms color spots. It is similar to watercolor paintings and is more suitable for drawing buildings and sketching.
I use wax colored pencils, and use the cable method to apply the color. The wax colored pencils are relatively hard and have wax properties, so they can be painted layer by layer. Start with the lightest color of the petals and slowly deepen!
basic lines
line: The direction of the lines is consistent, and the spacing between the lines is even.
cross line : can be used to express shadows and character skins.
flat coating line: is suitable for delicate performance, but if used poorly, it will make you look "dirty".
