Xue Zhongrui was born on January 1, 1937 in Jing County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province. In 1955, 18-year-old Xue Zhongrui applied for the Central Academy of Drama and stood out among more than 2,000 candidates. When he was full of hope that he would be selected, he found that he had failed the exam because of failing the cultural course. The frustrated Xue Zhongrui returned to Jinan. In the early 1960s, he became the main actor of Shandong Theater. In the late 1970s, Shandong Provincial Theater entered its heyday of creation and performance. It was invited to perform seven times in Jinjing, and also performed in Shanghai, Henan, Shaanxi, Fujian, Jiangsu, Hebei, Liao and other places. As the leading actor, Xue Zhongrui has starred in works such as "The Decisive Battle", "The Ups and Floods", "The Sudan and the Emperor", "Fate", "The Legend of Kiddon", "The Legend of Revenge in Mount Kidou", "The Yellow River Enters the Sea", and "Common Confucius".
