The Kuomintang-owned Taipei mayor candidate Jiang Wanan sent his sister Jiang Huilan to participate.
Lai Xiangling, who was the first to arrive, said that when she saw the villagers of Pingtan gathered together, she came to wish everyone good health and a prosperous career. She devoted herself to this Taoyuan mayoral election and asked everyone to vote for her. After taking a photo with cadres from Pingtan Business Federation, Lai Xiangling asked the villagers one by one for entrustment.
Then, Huang Shanshan, an independent member, rushed to the scene. Huang Shanshan said in her speech that her thoughts were the same as everyone else, "I hope that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait will be peaceful and safe, and that the people will have money to live a good life." This remark won thunderous applause from the Pingtan villagers in the audience.
Just as Huang Shanshan left, Jiang Wanan's sister Jiang Huilan and "Blue Committee" Lin Yihua immediately entered the venue. Jiang Huilan said that because her younger brother Jiang Wanan rushed to the TV station to record the video, she specially invited her to pay her respects to everyone. She hopes that everyone will vote for Jiang Wanan on November 26, so that Jiang Wanan has the opportunity to serve everyone.
Taiwan Pingtan Business Federation Chairman Lin Chuanzhong said that he hopes that Pingtan villagers who have the right to vote will support the ideal candidates who can "peace and security across the Taiwan Strait, and people do business well and make a fortune", so that people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait can restart exchanges and cooperation after the epidemic.
The villagers of Pingtan, Fujian, scattered throughout Taiwan, decided to work together to take care of each other in 2018, so they initiated the establishment of the Pingtan Business Federation of Taiwan. The gala was held at 62 tables. The villagers who were rarely gathered due to the epidemic were particularly happy to meet, and the atmosphere was warm.
