Kuo Yu attended the Kuomintang’s political views conference for the 2020 election
China Taiwan Network June 25th. The Kuomintang held its first 2020 election PM Privacy Policy Views Conference on the 2020 election PM Privacy Conference tonight. Five candidates including Han Kuo Yu, Guo Taiming, Zhu Lilun, , , Zhou Xiwei, , and Zhang Yazhong appeared on the same stage. According to Taiwan's United Daily News, Han Kuo-yu said when talking about cross-strait relations that cross-strait relations are related to the life and death of Taiwan. He proposed four solutions, namely, taking the "Constitution" as the foundation, public opinion as the basis, peace as the premise, and economy as the priority.
Han Kuo-yu pointed out that he is worried about the current situation of cross-strait relations. Cross-strait confrontation, economic decline, and people's livelihood are in a state of decline. In the past three years of the DPP's rule, the people have been too hard, and various industries have complained, and there is no hope of brightness in the future.
Han Kuo-yu said that cross-strait relations are about the survival of Taiwan, so he proposed four solutions:
first, taking the "Constitution" as the foundation. According to the explicit provisions of the article and the amended provisions of Taiwan’s “Constitution”, the two sides of the Taiwan Strait should belong to “one country, two regions”: one Taiwan region and mainland region under the “Republic of China”;
second, with public opinion as the basis. Taiwan’s future should be decided jointly by all Taiwanese people, and they have the responsibility to create better conditions and bargaining chips for the future of the next generation;
Third, take peace as the premise. Cross-strait relations must ensure peace and stay away from war. He has repeatedly emphasized on the mainland and in the United States that there are no losers in peace and no winner in war. If you look at the history of human wars, you will find that all those who die in wars are from the age of 20 to 26. Can Taiwanese parents accept the cruelty brought by such wars? Of course not;
Fourth, economy is the priority. Since the mainland accounts for 40% of Taiwan's exports, he will give priority to resuming trade negotiations on goods that are related to the export of Taiwanese manufacturers, so that there will be no more high tariff barriers for exporting Taiwanese goods to the mainland.
Han Kuo-yu finally stated that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait should develop peacefully, avoid war, and take charge of the economy. This is the biggest challenge of "Taiwan-Peng-Kim Horse", "God bless Taiwan"!
