In order to facilitate statistical calculations, people convert these greenhouse gases into carbon dioxide and equivalents according to the degree of impact, so people often use carbon dioxide to refer to greenhouse gases.
Carbon peak refers to a region or industry where annual greenhouse gas emissions reach a historical highest value, which is the historical turning point of greenhouse gas emissions from increase or decrease, marking the transformation of economic development from high energy consumption and high emissions to clean and low energy consumption modes.
Carbon neutrality refers to the total carbon emissions directly and indirectly emitted by human activities in a certain region within a certain period of time (usually one year), and the total carbon absorption absorbed through afforestation, industrial carbon sequestration, etc., achieving net zero carbon emissions.
Carbon peak and carbon neutrality complement each other.
