Ma Xiaofeng, member of the Standing Committee of the Yungang District Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda, attended the ceremony. More than 300 people, including Datong Civilization Office, relevant leaders of Yungang District, volunteers of Yungang District Volunteer Service Federation, faculty and staff of Xihanling School, and student representatives, were present to witness the unveiling and flag-raising moment.
At the ceremony, Ma Xiaofeng pointed out that Yungang District is an education area, and the education system should give full play to its advantages, perform cultural and educational functions, implement General Secretary Xi’s important instructions on learning from Lei Feng’s volunteer service, and carry out characteristic volunteer service activities in combination with the district and school situations, and write the story of Lei Feng in Yungang District in the new era.

The relevant person in charge of Xihanling School introduced that the school has carried out extensive mobilization for the establishment of service stations and service brigades. The establishment of a volunteer service team can not only allow all teachers to participate in volunteer service activities in a more orderly manner, but also provide assistance to organize and carry out various special volunteer service activities that care about the growth and development of young people in the future. At the same time, with the development of volunteer service activities, we can expand the influence of volunteers, plant the seeds of volunteer service in the hearts of young people, learn through dedication, grow through friendship, and improve through mutual assistance.

After the unveiling ceremony, the Volunteer Service Brigade of Xihanling School in Yungang District and the District Xinhua Bookstore went to Xinzhai Primary School in Kouquan Township to carry out a donation of books and school supplies, and donated more than 70 sets of schoolbags, study equipment and more than 100 books to the students.
