[Global Network Military Report] July 5 is the 50th anniversary of the first high-altitude high-speed fighter jet independently developed by my country. At the event, the aviation industry released a documentary "Fengfei" reflecting the development process of the J-8 aircraft and the J-15 aircraft models, as well as a postal note jointly launched by the Aviation Industry and China Post to commemorate the "50th anniversary of the successful first flight of the J-8 aircraft" and the "10th anniversary of the successful first flight of the J-15 aircraft" jointly launched by the Aviation Industry and China Post.
also laid an "eastern egg" at the end of this documentary called "Fengfei", and a special effect animation of the unmanned stealth carrier-based fighter taking off the aircraft carrier to fight on the airplane. This jet drone with no tail layout is huge in size, with folding wings, and can be stored in the hangar of the aircraft carrier. It also takes into account the stealth combat capability, and the engine tail nozzle has undergone a certain amount of stealth treatment.
At present, stealth drones are the cutting-edge field of competition among military powers. The US Navy previously deployed the X-47B technology verification aircraft to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier , and conducted a number of technical capabilities verification to explore the way for large drones to board ships; the US Navy also signed a contract with Boeing of about US$800 million in August 2018 to develop and produce the latest MQ-25 "Stingray" carrier-based unmanned tanker, taking a key step in the deployment of aircraft carriers on drones. The aircraft will have initial combat capabilities in 2024. Although Russia started late in the development of stealth drones, the "Hunter-B" drone, which adopted a flying wing layout at the beginning of this year, was exposed for the first time, and high-speed taxiing tests have begun on the runway, which has made people admire Russian drone technology.
Although there has not been any official report that China wants to deploy drones on aircraft carriers, the "eastern egg" that appears in this documentary may herald a possible scene on China's aircraft carrier in the future.
