At around 8:20 pm on June 19, a fire broke out on a private hospital under renovation on the seventh floor of the railway hotel near Wuyi Road, Taipei City, Tongchuan City, and a fire suddenly broke out.
According to witnesses, the place where the fire was caught was located next to the old train station on Wuyi Road, Wangyi District, Tongchuan City, and a fire emerged from a window on the 7th floor of the hospital building. An eyewitness at the scene said that at about 8:30 pm, he suddenly heard someone shouting "It's on fire" on the road, and then many people ran over. Within a few minutes, the fire truck arrived at the scene.
According to the firefighters of Wangyi Squadron, at 8:35 pm on the 19th, the fire broke out on the seventh floor of the railway hotel next to the Construction Bank of Wangyi District. After receiving the order, Wang Yi's squadron quickly dispatched two vehicles and 17 officers and soldiers to the scene to deal with the situation. After
arrived at the scene, after investigation, it was found that there was a clear fire in a room located on the 7th floor of the hotel and accompanied by a large amount of smoke. Later, it was learned that the floor was a private hospital under renovation. There were a large number of quilts piled up in the burning room, so no one was trapped. The commander of
immediately issued a combat order: one group is a fire extinguishing group, where six combatants wear personal protective equipment and air respirators to attack the fired houses internally, and use water strips to lay water along the stairs to supply water; the other group is a warning group, responsible for on-site alerts and evacuation of personnel. After 30 minutes of full effort from the squadron, the fire was finally put out. Subsequently, the commander led two officers and soldiers to carefully inspect and exhaust the smoke at the fire scene, and sent a force to further cool the fire quilt to prevent rekind. After repeatedly confirming that there was no sign of rekindling on the scene, the officers and soldiers of the fire squadron retreated and returned.
The cause of the fire is currently under further investigation.
