Musk revealed in response to comments that SpaceX's goal is to perform its first drop test in 4 weeks, "it could also be 8 weeks, due to unforeseen issues." The so-called Hopper test refers to the test of launching the rocket test aircraft and then returning to the ground to land.
On the same day, Musk also posted a model photo of the interstellar spacecraft test aircraft currently being assembled in Texas on Twitter. According to Musk, the first Hopper engine to be ignited is being assembled in California and is almost completed and may be tested next month.
In fact, on December 24, 2018, Musk exposed photos of the interstellar spacecraft test aircraft, but only the head of the test aircraft was displayed at that time.
On December 24, 2018, Musk exposed some structures of the interstellar spacecraft test aircraft. The formal interstellar spacecraft testing program is expected to be held in March or April 2019.
