I am Ice Cream, born in Jining, Shandong in 1988. I was in the army and by chance I became a host from a singer. I was fortunate to host the August 1st Gala and won the second-class merit in the second year.

This is the 255th real person we tell

I am ice cream

(2012 military performance)

My father is a small leader of a textile factory in the county, and my mother takes care of me and my sister at home. Although the family conditions are not particularly wealthy, parents have never treated us unfairly. Parents will definitely let us have those things that other children have.

They are also very open-minded and generous. From childhood to adulthood, they respect my sister and me as much as possible in everything and respect our choices.

I have liked singing and dancing since I was a child, but my grades have always been bad. My parents asked the teacher to teach me to sing. It was not particularly easy for our family to bear a lesson.

Even so, my parents insisted that I learn to sing. This point in made me particularly touched. I secretly decided to study and sing hard and never let down my parents' good intentions.

I am still a very active person. When I was a child, all my friends were boys. At that time, I told my father every day that when I grow up, I will be in the army. When I join the army, I can wear a military uniform and hold a gun. How handsome!

has been saying for a long time, and my father may also think that my personality is more suitable for training and transformation in the army. In addition, going to school is not my strength. After graduating from high school, my father asked me to enlist in the army.

(Photo with my father during the Spring Festival in 2013)

Now when I think back, I find that I have taken this path very right. If my father had to go to college, even if I tried my best, with my achievements in learning, I might not have achieved what I am now. Although I was not successful today, at least I did not embarrass my parents.

In October 2006, I joined the army through special recruitment and became a literary soldier of the Xinjiang border defense force. After learning this good news, my expectations and joy for the life of the army completely overwhelmed the reluctance and sadness of leaving home.

Because I want to realize my dream of joining the army and military uniform, go to the military camp to work hard to create my wonderful life, be a female soldier who stands tall and upright, rather than a little girl who spends her life comfortably under the protection of her parents!

At that time, it was the army sent by my father and uncle to, and we took the train for two days and one night. On the train, we watched the scenery on the road slowly turn from the green mountains and beautiful waters to the desert, and the more we walked, the more desolate we became. My father sighed and said to me, "Oh, I really can't bear to put you in such a barren land."

(Recorded songs have been floating for 60 years)

I was young and ignorant and fearless. When my dad said this, I didn't feel anything in my heart. Because at that time, I was full of longing and yearning for the life of the army.

Although the requirements for physical training and queue training of art soldiers are relatively not that strict, they spend most of their time training their own majors. But I have never left my parents before and have never done many housework at home, so I was really not very used to it at the beginning.

Every day, we not only have to get up early, but also take the time to go out for exercises. There are also physical training in the afternoon, such as running and sit-ups, and high-standard hygiene cleaning is indispensable. these are the first attempts I have only made after joining the army, and it is also the first time I have completed these things independently.

The quilt is always unstitched, the sleepiness when getting up is always lingering, and when hearing the gathering whistle, I always become highly nervous instantly... I didn't expect that in the army, getting up, eating, and washing have become a training project. Before the age of 18, I was unrestrained at home and had a slow pace. At the beginning, I really couldn't adapt to these tests.

(My youth, a drawer of military merits)

But I just have a spirit of not giving up and not afraid of hardship in my bones, and I am not stupid. I firmly believe that I can do what others can do! Besides, I am a soldier now, what a glorious thing!

Even though it is painful, putting these pains in front of the honor of soldiers is not worth mentioning. What's more, I took the initiative to ask for training in the army, so it would be embarrassing to be unable to make a comeback.

I adjusted my mindset and faced daily housework and training, and gradually I felt that these things were not that difficult. Then, I began to constantly improve my standards and requirements, and demanded myself with the standards of excellent soldiers in everything I did.

It took about two or three months to fully adapt to the life of the army. I also began to believe that a person's potential is infinite. The more difficult the task and the more difficult the environment, the more it can test a person's ability to withstand stress and willpower.

2008 is a turning point in my military career. If I kept singing, I might not have walked out of the army, out of our yard, nor seeing the bigger world outside.

(the last photo of my husband before he changed his career)

In June 2008, I temporarily acted as the host by a particularly chance, and it was also this chance that changed my professional direction.

The host of the party originally scheduled party was sprained at that time. The leader felt that I was more in line with the host's requirements. He was very capable in image and temperament, and had high standards and high requirements for doing things, so he directly asked me to serve as the host. But I have never hosted any party and have no experience in this regard.

However, the tasks assigned by the leader must be completed and must be completed with the highest standards. So the night before, I memorized the hosting lyrics all night until I was familiar with them. Thankfully, the results of the performance the next day were quite satisfactory. After the incident of

, I also began to realize that only by taking high standards as my life creed can we usher in opportunities, live up to opportunities when opportunities come, and achieve success!

Not long after, the whole army selected hosts to attend the "August 1st Party" in Beijing, and I was also very coincidentally attracted by the judges who selected hosts. They think I am more in line with their image as a soldier, capable, straightforward, and even speak with a bit of Shandong flavor.

They selected eight hosts from the entire army and finally identified four hosts, and I was one of them. Because I became a monk halfway through, they took me to Beijing and trained for a month and a half.

(Photo taken by the child when he was three years old in 2021)

During this period, I lost 12 kilograms without dieting and no idea of losing weight. At that time, I had an idea in my mind that the August 1st Gala was the highest stage for art soldiers, and I had to come up with the highest standards and do my best to do this.

I cannot let down the training of the unit and the trust of the leaders, and I cannot let down the care and help of my comrades. I also clearly know that if I firmly grasp this opportunity and stand on the big stage, the whole family will be proud of me.

Opportunity means responsibility, responsibility means pressure . Maybe it was because I was under too much pressure, and even though I ate a lot, I still lost more than ten pounds. Of course, I have really learned a lot of professional knowledge. In my opinion, the hard training during this period is not hardship, but a kind of happiness, a kind of happiness that improves oneself and makes continuous progress.

I began to really fall in love with this industry, and I can even say that I fell in love with this industry. Later, I began to develop slowly from singing to hosting. Over time, I participated in various performances as a full-time host.

(2020 Spring Festival, a family of three was in Sanya)

Everyone saw my efforts, and coupled with the experience of hosting the August 1st Gala, I was awarded the second-class merit for me during the evaluation of the merits and awards of the unit. I cherish this honor very much because it is the best testimony of my growth in the army, the encouragement and affirmation of me, and the motivation for me to keep moving forward.

Later, no matter whether I host a big party or a small party, as long as I get the hosting words, I will immediately interpret them deeply. Even after seeing the hosting lyrics, I am very excited. Even if I don’t sleep, I will recite it.

Because I know that can only be more calm and more at ease when hosting on stage by

, and only in this way can do this job well and host a party well.

(In 2019, our first photo returned to Shandong, the child was one year old)

After I made contributions, I did not lie on the credit book because of this, and did not want to make progress, but was more motivated and stood at the top of my head in everything. , even if I was sick, I endured the pain and insisted on training, but I didn't expect that I almost died because of it.

In 2009, I got sick, appendicitis . Although it was a minor illness, because of the performances during that period, the task was very tight and I had to rehearse every day, so I kept dragging it on.

After about three or five days of delay, my stomach hurt so much. It hurt so much that my vision was blurred and I couldn't insist on rehearsing anymore, so I went to the hospital for a check-up.

The surgery started on the third day of hospitalization. Because appendix was so rotten, the doctor could no longer find my appendix when the surgery was performed. In order to find the appendix, the wound in the surgery was particularly large. I remember having eight stitches at that time. After , the doctor told me, if you are a little later, your life will be worrying.

I thought that a small appendix surgery would end if I was hospitalized for one week, but I stayed for 45 days that time. My body cannot absorb the surgical suture , resulting in a rejection reaction. After the fourth month of my surgery, the wound was still red and swollen, and from time to time a thread popped out, causing pus and inflammation.

(moved back to Shandong, the child slept on his father's back)

During this period, I didn't tell my parents until I could walk normally, and I told my mother about the hospitalization. She cried with pain at that time and said, "You are hospitalized and your parents are not by your side. You must take good care of yourself."

In the summer of 2009, I took a family leave and my wounds were still inflamed. because I was afraid that my mother would worry, so I didn’t dare to tell her. I apply a piece of gauze on the wound every day to prevent bleeding from being seen.

Now when I think back, I realize that at that time I was no longer a little girl who was cared for by my parents, but I became a qualified female soldier after being tempered by the army. During the period when I was the host, I had the opportunity to step onto a bigger stage and see the world outside our camp compound. This is one of the reasons why I insisted on leaving the army later.

I think it is enough to have such an experience of being a soldier in life. No one can stay in the army for the rest of his life. He must take this step and move towards society.

(I am at work and my child sleeps on the sofa)

In early 2012, I was transferred to the Lanzhou Art Troupe and met my husband. He is also a person who likes to constantly challenge himself, and he maintains a learning state even in the army. What’s more coincidental is that when we talked about marriage, the parents of both parties found out that they knew each other and that the two families were originally family friends.

After a year, in order to go out and see a bigger world, I retired from active service early after serving for 7 years. If I could retire normally during the full service period, I would have the opportunity to place a job. But after careful consideration, I chose to give up my job.

Because even if I wait for the troops to arrange work in the future, I can only return to the army. Living a life that can be seen at a glance in the small county town of my hometown is not what I want.

I feel thankful that my parents are very enlightened. Although they don’t understand, they still support my decision.

has been seven years since entering the army at the age of 18 to leaving the army at the age of 25. These seven years can be said to be the best years of a woman's life, and I have devoted all of them to the army. But I don’t regret it at all, because my experience in the army is an inexhaustible and inexhaustible treasure in my life.

(In 2016, we got married)

Shortly after the demobilization, my boyfriend, who is now my current husband, was admitted to Beijing for graduate school, so I quit my job and came to work in Beijing.

After coming to Beijing, I worked in the financial industry in a company. I think the financial industry is more challenging and can also bring me a better life guarantee.

Although I have not a high education, have no financial work experience, and have no resources or background, I just have the spirit of daring to take risks and fight, and have the belief to work hard to move forward unswervingly towards my goal. has worked in this company for three years. Because I did a good job, I went from a small employee to a department manager.

I originally wanted to take root in Beijing, but my husband would return to his original unit to continue working after graduation. It happened that when we were talking about marriage, I had no choice but to give up my job in Beijing and return to Lanzhou with him.

When leaving Beijing, the boss tried his best to keep me and said to me: "If you return to the northwest, we can set up a branch in the northwest. I hope you don't leave this company." Considering that the development prospects of financial enterprises in the northwest are limited, I still refused the boss.

(It is better to travel thousands of miles than reading thousands of books and travel with children)

After I returned to the northwest, a listed company in the game industry opened a branch in Lanzhou. I joined this company as the general manager, and there were not many people under my command.

Everything about this company has not yet been on track, but I am not afraid. I am patient, manage steadily, and promote business in an orderly manner. I did it myself, from team formation to business streamlining.

In July 2018, our child was born. originally thought that she could live a happy life like this, but the army began to carry out military reforms and the art troupe was about to be laid off. My husband repeatedly decided to change his career. At this time, everything in the company was on track, and I left with the pain again.

In early 2019, we returned to our hometown in Shandong from Lanzhou. My husband was arranged to be a music teacher in college, and I started to be a housewife.

But in third- and fourth-tier cities, the salary of teachers is very limited. Although my husband’s parents are both financially good, we are so old and have our own children. It is very immoral to rely on your parents again, and it is something that we cannot bear or accept.

(2019, a photo of a child who is one year old)

At that time, I thought to support myself and rely on us to give our children a better life. My restless heart became restless again and began to want to explore new opportunities and challenge new life.

20 Spring Festival, the epidemic broke out nationwide. During the quarantine at home, I saw many people sharing their lives on the Internet, and found it very interesting. I was very moved and wanted to share my experiences. In this way, I bought a second-hand gimbal and started my journey of self-media.

only realized that it was very stressful to shoot videos as soon as I entered the industry. After all, I was very unfamiliar with this field. At the beginning, the shooting time was very long and the cutting time was also very long. I took the first video of for about three days and cut it for three days. It took about ten days to send it out.

(In Shandong, my 30th birthday)

There are often mistakes in the process of editing videos. Sometimes I stay up until midnight and have to take care of the children during the day, which makes me very tired. In the first two months, I didn’t have a penny income and wanted to give up many times.

But then I thought about it, nothing can be easy, and if you want to succeed, you must persevere.

Fortunately, my persistence finally paid off. One day, a video suddenly became popular, and with a profit of 111 yuan, my hope suddenly ignited.

In fact, before I started working as a self-media, I was not a very diligent person, and I didn’t have that high requirements for home hygiene or other aspects. But since I became a self-media, I want more people to see a positive, sunny and cheerful side. If I want to be a spreader of positive energy, I will start to make changes from my living environment.

(Large house in Shandong)

While I change myself, I also invisibly changed many of my friends who watched my videos. Many people left me messages under the video and said: "Ice Cream, since I watched your video, I have become very diligent, and my home has become as clean as yours."

It is the encouragement and support of these fans that gave me the motivation to keep shooting and moving forward. Although there are not many fans now, this is a success for me.

Just when I felt like I was staying in Jining for the rest of my life, my husband's job changed again. He doesn't want his children to live like him, living this kind of life that can be seen at a glance. The two of them coincidentally decided to give up their stable life and go to Beijing to take a try.

None of the friends around us support us for this idea. They think we are driving a good car and living in a big house now, why should we go to Beijing to suffer that crime?

But it is gratifying that both of our parents support our decision very much. My mother also said, "I believe Xiao Song can live a good life anywhere, so you can go there with confidence."

(a snail residence after coming to Beijing)

We plan to sell the house in Jining for more than 200 square meters first and go to Beijing to buy a small one. After the National Day in 2021, our family of three came to Beijing.

In fact, we are not considered starting from scratch when we come to Beijing. After all, my husband has a formal job and we can live in his small dormitory. Although it is only fifteen square meters, it is also a warm home. Compared to before, our life in Beijing is indeed a little more difficult, but we are also very happy to be drifting in Beijing.

It is easy to go from frugality to extravagance, but it is difficult to go from extravagance to frugality. My husband and I can endure hardships and can accept the gap from a large house of 200 square meters to a small dormitory of 15 square meters, but we are mainly worried that the children will not be able to adapt. After all, since she was born, we gave her the best in terms of food, clothing, housing and transportation.

My daughter often watches some previous videos. She saw the videos she played in a big house and in a children's room before, and she also asked me: "Mom, why do we have to live in this house now? Why can't we go back to the big house before?"

In fact, when I heard her say this, I was also very sad. But I will tell her that it’s okay, baby, we will have big houses in the future, and we are just a transition period now.

Only after becoming parents did I deeply understand the saying "Only by raising a child can I know the kindness of my parents." Just like when my parents would rather be harder and tired than for me to learn to sing, I am also willing to endure more so that my daughter can have a better room for growth.

Although the house I live in is not as big as the kitchen before, fortunately, the people and things that children come into contact with in Beijing and the world that they see are much better than their hometown.

(2021, take your children to Beijing Universal Studios)

Just like a saying in Changjin Lake, if we don’t fight this battle, our next generation will fight.

If you want to grow and surprise, you have to jump out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself. In fact, if you grit your teeth and persevere, you can meet a better self. I believe that the meaning of hard work and the value of struggle, the bitterness of the present will bring sweetness in the future. I also believe that we will have our own house and our own warm home in Beijing.

I am 34 years old this year, and there are many new opportunities and choices in the future, but no matter what, I will persist in working hard, striving, and insist on demanding myself to high standards, because I was once a soldier.
