Therefore, Wikimedia Foundation immediately stopped accepting cryptocurrency gifts and said: "We started accepting cryptocurrency based on volunteer and donation requirements in 2014. But we made a new decision based on recent community feedback. We will close our Bitpay account and no longer accept cryptocurrency donations."

White said in a tweet: "I am really happy that Wikimedia Foundation has fulfilled the requirements of the community, and I am proud of my community.
