Most of the casualties are young people in their 10s to 20s. Four Chinese citizens were killed in the accident, and two other Chinese citizens were injured in the stampede in South Korea.
Since the Itaewon stampede accident, South Korea announced that it had entered a national mourning period. Non-emergency events will be postponed during the mourning period, and Yongsan, Seoul will be set as a special disaster area.
On the morning of the 30th, Korean TV stations KBS, MBCh, SBS, and tvN will stop broadcasting most of the original variety shows, and will broadcast the scene and response of the Itaewon stampede accident.
