In the qualifying match before the race and on weekends (October 22), Bastanini ran the second fastest lap in Q2, and the main race started from the first row. Ginantorio ranked 16th in the main race.
MotoGP level schedule is 20 laps, with a total of about 110.9 kilometers. Both drivers of the Gisny MotoGP team chose soft tires in front, middle and rear. After the official start, Bastanini started a big melee with many opponents in the No. 1 Competitive Group. Ginantorio was in the middle position, competing with seven or eight other opponents.

On lap 11, Ginantorio fell off the car at T5 and was forced to end the race in Malaysia early.

We will work hard to end everything in Valencia in the best way (of the 2022 season)."
Ginantorio said, "I have a good start, although in No. 1 I kept my position in the lap, but I quickly realized that compared to the leader of the competitive group, I had insufficient traction and (the situation) too bad. In the competitive group, I fought for the top 15, I tried to get this result, but unfortunately, I lacked the feeling of the (racing) front end and eventually fell.
