Nikon announced that the Nikon Photography Contest 2022-2023 will start accepting submissions from 12:00 noon on October 27, 2022 (Beijing time). The
Nikon Photography Competition was first held in 1969 and is one of the largest international photography competitions in the world. It aims to enrich the culture of imaging by providing opportunities for professional and amateur photographers around the world to communicate with each other. The last competition (38th) received more than 65,000 works from 26,000 contestants from 150 countries and regions around the world.
Sarah Lee serves as the chief judge
We are honored to invite Sarah Lee to serve as the chief judge of the Nikon Photography Competition 2022-2023.
In 2013, Sarah Leeen became the first female photography director at National Geographic and National Geographic Partners. In 2020, she founded Visual Thinking Collective, a community of female editors, teachers and curators focusing on creating and managing visually driven projects.
She has had a huge influence on all kinds of artists, especially the new generation of photographers.

My hope for the Nikon Photography Contest is to collect stories representing the world today. After three years of separation, we have gradually become accustomed to a new way of life. Now, new opportunities and new possibilities are presented to us. So, look at your world, look back on the changes and growth you have experienced, and embrace new opportunities. I'm really looking forward to seeing works from all over the world. We have the opportunity to show where we are, tell our stories and share your personal world through this competition.

Nikon Photography Contest 2022-2023 Overview
Nikon Photography Contest 2022-2023 is the 39th session of the competition since its launch and will consist of photo category competitions and video category competitions. The photo category competition will provide single photo groups and combined photo groups, and the video category competition will provide short video groups and ultra-short video groups. The theme of the
photo category competition is "Takes of Delicacy", and we are looking for photos that express personal from various perspectives. The theme of the video category competition is "Next Step". The entries for this competition should be able to express further growth and future development. The list of winners of the
Nikon Photography Contest 2022-2023 is scheduled to be announced in July 2023.

Awards, Prizes and Winners’ Choices
Two entries in each category of the two competitions will be selected as the Excellence Award, and four entries will receive special encouragement awards. In addition, a grand prize winner will be selected from the winners of the Excellence Awards in each category. The winners of the Ordinary User Voting Award will also be selected by the public from the works that have passed the second round of review.
