- Jiashan Base Cave Library
Taiwan authorities’ so-called “Jian’an No. 3” plan includes two parts: Project 828 in Hualien and Project 737 in Taitung. Among them, Jiashan Base (828 Project) was planned during the period when Haobo Village served as Chief of Staff. It was located on the west side of Hualien Base, between Jialin Village and Dashan Village, so each word was called Jiashan Base.
Jiashan Cave Library started construction in January 1985, and took nearly 9 years. The infrastructure was not completed until December 1993. Almost the entire granite mountain was hollowed out. Since 1996, subsequent projects have been expanded, with a total cost of more than NT$40 billion.
Jiashan Cave Library is a top secret facility of Taiwan's "military army". The internal layout has never been exposed, and even a single photo cannot be found. With the help of the satellite map, the outside world roughly estimates the scale of the cave library from the two north and south entrances 1.1 kilometers apart. It is estimated that up to 250 fighter jets can be parked inside it. In addition, there is a 2,500-meter-long airplane runway in the cave library, which directly connects to Taiwan's Hualien Air Force Airport.
Jiashan Base Cave Library is not just an underground hangar, it is actually the so-called "wartime headquarters" of the Taiwan Air Force. It has a command and control system and a war management center, which operates online with Taipei's "Air Force Combat Command Center, Telecommunications Supervision Center, and Skynet Air Defense System" to be backed up with each other. Once other command nodes are destroyed, Jiashan Base will undertake the "command task" of air combat across Taiwan.
In addition, Jiashan Base Cave Library is also the largest ammunition database and logistics spare parts warehouse in Taiwan. It is said that most of the US-made AIM-120 medium-range air-to-air missiles, AIM-9 short-range air-to-air missiles, air-launched Harpoon missiles, etc. are stored here. Usually, only a small number of live ammunitions are allocated to combat wings for combat readiness.
, and the "737 Project" mainly hollowed out the Shizishan on the north runway head of Zhihang Base in Taitung, and built an underground hangar. It was built in the mid-1990s and is known as the "super bunker". According to Taiwanese media, the base Dongku is slightly smaller than the Jiashan base, but it can accommodate up to 150 fighter jets. There are also combat command centers, pilot standby rooms, officers and soldiers' dormitories, ammunition and oil depots in the warehouse.
For a long time, Taiwan's "military" has placed high expectations for the Jiashan Base and the Zhihang Base. In order to coordinate the two underground bases of Jiashan and Zhihang, the Taiwanese authorities have also built a "alternative runway" in recent years, namely the Suhua Expressway, with a total length of about 118 kilometers, consisting of 11 tunnels and 20 bridges in the middle, crossing the Taiwan Central Mountains from north to south.
Jiashan Base and Zhihang Base Cave Reservoir are both located under a granite layer that is hundreds of meters thick, which made the Taiwan military at that time very relieved. They believed that the PLA, both the Air Force and the Navy, lacked the ability to fight on the east side of Taiwan. The ballistic missiles , cruise missiles or air-launched missiles from the west side of the island were blocked by Central Mountains , and it was difficult to hit the cave reservoir at the bottom of the back slope. It seemed that they could rest assured.

However, with the emergence of the PLA 055 destroyer , the plan of the Taiwanese authorities' painstakingly managed for many years is about to fall into vain. The
055 destroyer has a full load displacement of about 12,000 tons and a maximum speed of 30 knots. It is one of the most powerful surface ships of the People's Liberation Army, and has the ability to accurately strike against missiles, air defense , anti-ship and long-range land.

055 destroyer adopts a general vertical launch device with "concentric circle hot and cold common frame launch", with a total of 14 sets, each with 8 850mm launch silos, , a total of 112. 055 can launch the Longjian-10 ground cruise missile, Eagle Strike-18 anti-ship missile, , Hongqi-16 and Hongqi-9 air defense missiles, etc. In April this year, the People's Liberation Army announced the first picture of the 055 destroyer launching the Eagle Strike-21 hypersonic ballistic missile. The flight speed of this ballistic missile is as high as Mach 10. It can be used to attack large surface ships such as aircraft carrier , and can also be used to attack land mainframes, underground command centers, underground oil depots, cave runways, etc.
- Advanced air defense and anti-missile system
055 destroyer is equipped with advanced multi-band radars, including a 4-sided S-band large-scale phased array radar, a 4-sided X-band small phased array radar, and a C-band radar integrated in a large phased array radar, with powerful detection capabilities.
As long as the People's Liberation Army deploys multiple 055 destroyers in the eastern waters of Taiwan, use Longsword 10 cruise missiles , Eagle Strike 18, Eagle Strike 21 and other missiles to strike the entrances, hangars, oil depots, runways and other targets of the Jiashan Base and Zhihang Base Cave Repository; at the same time, use the advanced air defense and anti-missile system to establish an air defense circle in the eastern Taiwan Strait to clear Taiwan's "air force" fighter jets that "leaked the net" and lifted off.
Therefore, under the strong blow of the People's Liberation Army's 055 destroyer, the eastern defense line that the Taiwan "military" has worked hard for more than 30 years will also be as vulnerable as the Taiwan Western Airport, and cannot escape the fate of being destroyed!
