After 1981, the country has not recruited private teachers. Teachers who taught in the school before 1981 but failed the exam and entered the school after 1981 are all agents. At my age, it is impossible to take those exams, so I can only be an agent.

At that time, the teachers in the school had three identities. The agent was undoubtedly the lowest status, the least wages, the largest workload, the least dignity and protection. They were often lost and frequently changed. But there are also people who persist well, and one teaching lasts for ten or twenty years.
Private teachers finally converted to public office after exams. A very small number of agents finally achieved success and took the last ship of "people's transformation from non-government". They will retire gloriously in the future, receive monthly pensions, and realize their dreams of "public" come true.
More agent teachers start to make a living by themselves after leaving school, engage in jobs that they are not good at, and sell their strength. Some of them are still on the road to protecting their rights. In order to solve this phenomenon, the country has issued a policy that after the age of 60, agent teachers who have taught for more than three years can receive a subsidy of several to several dozen yuan per month, which is linked to their teaching experience. Later I heard that localities will compensate this group in one lump sum, and Xianyang seems to be 200 yuan per year (teaching experience).
Zhengyang Town, Weicheng District, where I am, was later classified as Qinhan New City, Xixian New District. I have not received any news yet. But I know that my colleagues still have leaders working hard. I can't do anything, I don't even have the energy to shout in the group to cheer. Although I feel sad, I can't see the light, so I can only pray that they will succeed. Because there are indeed many people who devote most of their lives to the education cause of their motherland. When they were whipped out of school, they were already a little older and missed the best years of learning technology and making money. Now they are old and have nowhere to rely on. A little subsidy may be their life-saving money.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the university admission rate was quite low, and it was common for students who failed to take a tutoring exam for one year. In high school, the cram school was originally three years old, so the cram school joked about itself or was ridiculed as a "high school student". Some have perseverance. After spending many years in the first year of high school, I finally barely went to college. Some of them get worse and worse, and eventually they have to return home in depression.
I belong to the latter. After a year of tutoring, I still failed.
When the autumn starts, my Chinese teacher in junior high school sent me a message saying that the township education group was looking for an agent teacher. If I want, I can go to the education group to register. So, after passing the exam, I became a first-grade teacher in Hanjiawan Primary School. Except for physical education, music, and art classes, there are other teachers who come to class and can rest for 40 minutes. Zhengyang Middle School was the best at that time, close to the Weihe Power Plant, and was a town in the countryside. The normal students who could not enter the city were willing to stay, and many female teachers later became families of power plant employees. The only one in the school, I and another music-teacher Qiao, are the acting teachers. We both have the same fate and love each other, and have a good relationship. Teacher Qiao died of illness a few years later. She was in her prime and wanted to sigh.

Later, I couldn't stand the embarrassment of "chicken standing in the crane group", so I took the initiative to ask to go back to Hongqi Primary School. Half of the teachers at Hongqi Primary School are private and agents, and they are still comfortable to be with the same kind.

At that time, Hongqi Primary School not only accepted students in the back row and left row, but also received students in the fifth and sixth grades of Hezhuosuo Village in the front row. If there are parallel classes, there will be competition, and the teacher will work harder.
Thank you to our family. At that time, our family planted fruit trees and vegetables on the south bank of the Wei River . "One acre of land in one acre of garden and ten acres of land" was the time when we needed manpower the most. But none of them "tugged me up". I work diligently and do my best to work in the school, go out early and come back late every day, and even have home visits and tutoring at night. They endure my monthly salary ranging from 75 to 120 yuan, which is just their income from selling vegetables on a day. They endured such a waste of a good labor, but no one advised me to give up.
Now, their "respect" at that time has also contributed to my laziness, incompetence and idleness. If they were a little arrogant and tough at that time, maybe I would have done something in my life, at least I could support myself, rather than being like parasites now, without seeing the value.
Later I gave up teaching and returned to my family because I went home to give birth in the later stages of pregnancy. At that time, it was the only critical time for an agent teacher with a college diploma to take the exam and recruit, so I naturally didn't participate. I have not been pregnant for many years after marriage, and God finally sent me an angel. What else is more important than taking care of angels?

Compared with my 40 or 50 people and senior class in Hongqi Primary School, the work of Zhuosuo Primary School is really too easy and you don’t have to run back and forth on the road. Even if I have a big belly, I don’t feel tired or difficult. Later, as the number of students decreased and the number of normal graduates was assigned to the countryside, the "agent" gradually became unnecessary.
Most of them are no longer young. They don't have any skills to make money. Looking at society, they have been far behind the times.
After staying in school for a long time, people are also stupid. Simple thinking habits make most of them unpopular in society. They are far behind the times, and their income is far behind the peers.
How can they talk about retirement and how to retire?
10 years of agency, ten years of "not as good as people".
At that time, the most feared people would ask how much money they earn, and the most devastating thing was the days when they paid their monthly salary. That kind of embarrassment, shame, anger, despair! Doing the same or even more work as others, it doesn’t earn 1/3 of their salary. On the one hand, the key is that money represents disagreement and dignity, which is tantamount to a humiliation. Also, if the work is done well, it is the effort of all faculty and staff; if the work is not done well, the agent is the scapegoat, and the "chicken" used by the leaders to "scarry monkeys".
It is undeniable that there are indeed some people in the agent who are relatively low in their level, but they are worthy of the little salary they receive. What's more, why can people with low levels enter schools and stay... I won't say it.
We are indeed never valued. But we are indispensable and we are indispensable.
