On the evening of the 29th local time, a serious stampede occurred in Itaewon area of Yongsan District, Seoul, South Korea. After the stampede accident, witnesses at the scene said that the scene was completely out of control, and people were lying on the road, with people doing CPR everywhere.
Witnesses: Before the stampede accident, many people were pushed around. I was trapped in the crowd and couldn't squeeze out at the beginning. I felt that there would definitely be an accident.
Witnesses: We came here at around 10 pm and saw the scene that only happened in the movie in front of the hotel there, just like a battlefield. But this happened. People who did CPR were everywhere, everything was out of control, people rushed over, and the scene was completely out of control.
Some witnesses said that the crowded people were pushing and shoving before the accident, and the police were not prepared enough for possible accidents.
Witness: Seeing this incident, I think the police are not prepared enough, there are too many people, and it is too crowded. I know the police and rescuers are working hard, but I think they are not prepared.
