Municipal official Sandeep Singh Jara, said the newly renovated suspension bridge was opened to the public on October 26 without official permission. Another official Zara said a private trust company had renovated the bridge but should have published details of the renovation and conducted quality inspections before the suspension bridge opened, but the company did not do so and did not obtain the corresponding qualification certificate from the government.
