According to the Tehran Times, after experiencing emotional setbacks when he was young, Haji decided to live a life isolated from the world. People were worried about him and built brick houses for him to live in, but Haji often lived in a tomb-like cave near the desert.
He drinks five liters of water from a rusty oil barrel every day.

He uses the mirror of passing cars to organize himself.
He also likes to wear a helmet to keep warm in winter.
Haji's lifestyle is very incredible, but he seems to be very happy and healthy, especially as he is already in his 80s.
