1. Instinct, realm, level and driving force of life
1. Three instincts of life
Life instinct, love instinct, death instinct
life instinct is the instinct of living, whether it is joyful or depressed, it is just like that.
When you reach the age of fifteen or sixteen, you will be driven by the second instinct in your twenties, which is the love instinct.
Women need to beautify their own selfies, men need to practice their chest muscles and buy big houses, which is essentially the same as the African wildebeest duel for the mating rights, and an Oceanian bird specifically collects glass beads to attract the opposite sex.
The difference between humans is that we have the instinct of fear of death.
In Jobs's 2005 Stanford speech, he mentioned:
Death is the best invention of life. The best motto in my life is that people will die.
He has been asking himself in the mirror every day since he was 17 years old, if today is the last day of his life, will you still do what you have to do?
In this way, Jobs made himself chase the thing he really loves in his heart since he was 17 years old.
I started to find that I was old at around 47 years old, with presbyopia and old spots on my hands. I was horrified to find that I was old and my instinct for fear of death appeared.
This instinct is the greatest instinct of human beings.
2. The three realms of life
corresponds to the three instincts of life, and there are three realms, which is the same as Feng Youlan's theory:
biological realm, utilitarian realm, belief realm
The first level of biological realm, we are no different from wildebeests and birds that love to collect glass;
The second level of utilitarian realm, we start to calculate to earn more and buy a bigger house;
But if you want to do something a little, you must enter the realm of morality and heaven and earth that Feng Youlan talks about, and I combine it into the realm of faith.
3. Three levels of life
Free Self-being, uneasy Self-absorbing, self-marking.
Freediness is the innocence of children, and it is a state of very comfortable existence with vitality; but unfortunately, most people quickly entered the second stage, and were worried about what others think of you.
Business is afraid of being backward, failure, losing face, falling stock prices, and sorry to investors. These fears are everywhere and extremely powerful, and capture every person who runs a business.
must undergo a transformation before you can enter a state of self-interest, don’t care whether others give you roses or spit.
Just as Jobs said:
finds what you love, and if you don’t find it, keep looking. There is no other solution.
4. The three driving forces of life
Survival drive, fear-driven, love-driven
Most entrepreneurs are survival-driven, in order to let their families live a good life and to avoid the bird's breath of superiors;
Entrepreneurs shrouded by fear-driven will be worried about gains and losses, fear of failure, fear of lagging behind, fear of others' jokes, and are very uncomfortable;
I wrote "Sweeping Fear with Love" to make everyone discover that there is actually a better, more comfortable, healthier and more powerful state, which is leadership driven by love.
2. Logic of leadership
What is the logic behind leadership driven by love?
1. Leadership-Team-Performance
Performance white Silver is a steel-like team, and behind the team is the boss's gold-like leadership. The leadership is improved by 1%, the team can be improved by 10%, and the performance is improved by 100%.
Unfortunately, no one sees leadership. The biggest obstacle to the growth of all companies in is the top leader. The logic behind the problems of executives, employees, industries and governments is often concentrated on the bosses of the company.
I will summarize leadership in eight words: Know yourself and your opponent, play to your strengths and avoid your weaknesses.
You must work hard to give full play to other people’s strengths and let other people’s strengths make up for your own weaknesses.
2. Self-cognition - Self-acceptance - Self-control
Episode 0 is simple. If you want to control yourself, you must first accept yourself happily and admit that this is not my strength;
If you want to admit that this is not my strength, you must first realize that this is not my strength. This job is very difficult and difficult.
, especially for entrepreneurs, it is often difficult to realize that they are not professional about human resources, IT, sales and even products. They will think that I have been running a business for decades, and who knows these better than me? But do they really understand?
Every time a problem is solved in an enterprise, ten problems are generated at the same time. The complexity of the organization leads to countless reasons for any result, and there are countless results for any reason. Professional people should grasp the key points in a complex causal relationship network like spider webs that are cross-time, cross-dimensional, and cross-level.
But if you want to tell your boss that he doesn’t understand IT, human resources, and even doesn’t understand sales or products, it’s better to stab him with a knife, it’s really unbearable.
Entrepreneurs are diamonds, very precious resources and the most precious wealth of the country that can only be generated under very special geological conditions.
On the other hand, entrepreneurs are all patients. They are always urged by dissatisfaction and insecurity in their hearts, and they are burning and burning in their hearts. They can't do anything.
Entrepreneurs are a very special group. They are very arrogant deep down and they are easily doubted the professional value of the people around them.
You need to really make them realize self-awareness and self-control, give full play to other people's strengths to make up for their shortcomings, form a strong team, and then let the money, that is, performance come in. This is an extremely difficult process.
3. Mindfulness . Conscience, Destiny
Teaching Workshop (the first private board organization in China dedicated to the top leaders of private enterprises) has done a lot of exploration in how to transform it, and found that the most important are three words: Mindfulness , Conscience , Destiny .
By the way, the first third of my new book is easier to read, the second third is also simpler and easier to understand, and the middle third is very academic.
But in fact, the real "meat" of this book is one-third of the middle, and this part can be summarized in these three words as a whole. I spent seven years understanding these three words.

1. Mindfulness
This is a concept of export to domestic sales. A huge market of billions of dollars has been created around the world.
Mindfulness is about focusing on the present and not criticizing it. This powerful self-awareness is the basis of emotional intelligence, the basis of teamwork, and the basis of leadership. Without mindfulness awareness, it is difficult to truly discover your shortcomings.
The benefits of mindfulness to physical health and mental health are like the advertisements of old Chinese medicine doctors on cement poles, which can fight cancer and AIDS. Of course, this is the benefit of scientific and very strict mindfulness training. Basically all organizational behaviors can be strengthened through mindfulness.
2. Conscience
Confucianism has made great progress in the Song Dynasty. In fact, it was not done by Wang Yangming, but it was started by Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi's benevolence to the unity of all things. For the first time, it solved the problem of how to find a balance between being born and entering the world.
Before this, the Chinese could not find a balance and could not be in the world with a worldly mindset.
Doing things into the world with a born mentality is a common feature of all great religions in the world. However, if the Chinese cannot find it, they keep circling by themselves.
Wang Yangming took the lead on the basis of the second Cheng and proposed the concept of conscience. Unfortunately, Wang Yangming's habit of poets left a lot of controversy when he was teaching, and after his death, Wang Yangming's left, right and middle Taoism formed.
Wang Yangming's leftist sect is unable to move. Knowing is close to action means self-reliance. He is tired of eating meat and goes to the desert to eat vegetables, so he talks about walking the Long March again;
Wang Yangming's rightist sect and the middle Taoist sect are close to knowledge, and emphasizes practice and should do it.
Tao Xingzhi was originally named Tao Zhixing. The reason for his name was to use knowledge to get close to actions, rather than use actions to get close to knowledge.
3. Destiny
I say that Chinese people are in the six realms, which is very sad. They have not touched the door to the realm of faith at all. The greatest scientists, artists, politicians in the world, including the founding fathers of the United States, are strictly religious, and only a very small category will position themselves as an atheist.
Whether it is monotheism, polytheism, natural theory, agnostic theism, or pantheism, they all have faith. For example, the initiators of the Enlightenment and the founding father of the United States are basically deists.
Without faith, it is difficult to make a pioneering career without respecting higher and greater invisible power. Everyone’s beliefs can be different, but they must have the most basic sense of awe.
Don’t think that you are an atheist and others are stupid. How can you believe the white-bearded old man? God was never a white-bearded old man, but they chose to believe in a great power.
Awe is the basis of everything. The biggest difference between good religious beliefs and bad religious beliefs is what "heaven" they believe in: is it the heaven of mission or the heaven of fate.
days are called different in different beliefs, some are called God, some are called heaven, and some are called Allah. The Heaven of Mission is completely rational and brings a strong subjective initiative. Generally speaking, the Heaven of Mission is the mainstream in faith, which is the core logic of the Destiny.
We found that mindfulness, conscience and destiny come from Buddhism, Confucianism and theology respectively.
As a latecomer, we are the rising stars, on the basis of their own beauty, and in the end we share the beauty of beauty. If you don’t have this spirit of learning, you can’t talk about anything else to be honest.
Here are a few examples to talk about the relationship between mindfulness, conscience and destiny.
1. Food
Gourmets know that food must be fresh first, pick it on the same day, secondly, have warmth, the dishes must be steamed with pot, and finally, the ones who love you must prepare are the best.
Freshness, temperature and love correspond to mindfulness, conscience and destiny respectively. Mindfulness means that the raw materials must be good, conscience must maintain the warmth between people, and destiny is to give meaning and value beyond materials and production.
2. Car
Mindfulness is like a chassis. A good car must first have a good chassis; conscience is equivalent to a steering wheel, and the direction is right; destiny is the engine.
Leaders firmly believe that they have a destiny, and this continuous, endless and endless inner strength is unimaginable to ordinary people.
Peter Drucker is a very devout Christian. He firmly believes that he has a mission to bring the humanistic traditions of old Europe to the United States and to management.
So he can still read Shakespeare once a year after he is 90 years old and use his two fingers to type out more than 30 books.
"Darkest Hour" movie tells Churchill. When he was in elementary school, he firmly believed that he was the hero who saved England.
does not have this sense of calling destiny, and does not have such people who pursue higher, larger, and farther goals. Looking back at themselves, they cannot see clearly.
Only by looking back from a higher, larger and farther place can we recognize our shortcomings, appreciate other people's strengths, give full play to other people's strengths to make up for our own shortcomings, and have a team of steel and a waste of money. This is why I emphasize the deep logic behind these three words.

Lao Tzu said: A benevolent person is like shooting. The one who shoots right and then emits it. If you don’t hit it, you won’t blame yourself.
fails to hit the target. Don’t blame others for their interference. Be sure to check yourself. Here, arrows are mindfulness, targets are conscience, and bows are destiny, which is the logical relationship between the three.
If you want to build a ship, don’t gather people to collect wood, assign work and issue orders, but guide them to yearn for the vast and boundless sea.
As a leader, you don’t know where you are going, how can you lead others? If your goal is to make money by yourself, to attend the Entrepreneur Summit and sit in the host seat, why should they follow you? The simple truth of
actually does not require a doctorate or professor to tell the boss. But countless bosses are trapped at the first and second levels, unable to enter the third level, and unable to enter the state of destiny, which will lead to many team and performance problems.
The opportunities for China's economic development in the past 30 or 40 years are really great. Fire a shot into the sky, and shoot three shots to fall a bird, and insert a shoulder pole to grow a bamboo forest. Therefore, everyone generally does not pay attention to leadership, team and corporate culture.
Now that China-US trade frictions are in trouble, everyone is forced to pay attention to management. First of all, we must pay attention to leadership. Everyone should firmly believe that it is not that Chinese people are not worthy of management, but the time has not come.

So in this sense, we can only stick to our identity as a Chinese, and then do our best to get the ideology, digest everything that can be digested, and find ways to strengthen the world of Chinese thinking.

Our basic education lags behind the West for 50 years, two whole generations... What kind of time machine do we need to find to make Americans stop and wait for China to do it for another 50 years?
This is just a basic academic gap. The gap between humanities and social sciences is actually even bigger. For any topic, sociology, psychology, economics, and religious teaching, there are decades of research on the Western world.
Now we regard education as the entertainment industry, fans, over-marketing, self-packaging, and self-creating spirits. When we scholars read it, we just cried in one word, and we cried without tears. The education industry has become the entertainment industry.
education is something we want to use to do analysis, do various tests, and use surgery and medicine. The entertainment industry is to deceive you, give you a bubble, an illusory and fake solution, and a panacea, making you feel that you have found a solution, but the problem is even more serious when you go back.
Now, the entire management industry and the Internet circle are prevalent in such solutions, and the gap between it and the Western orthodox education is too far.
